Solids found in reclaimed EA. What is it? (CIELO help)

I reclaimed some EA a couple of weeks ago from my last CIELO run (fumaric). Used the washing soda and water and tested the pH, which appeared neutral. Filtered out the organic material and the reclaim looked spotless. Sealed it in a mason jar and left in my garage for two weeks. Checked today and there are solids floating in it. Best way to describe how it looks is a mycelium live culture. Unsure what this is but the fact that it wasn't there before is unsettling and thinking it might be some sort of mold.

I'm pretty new to the cactus world and never did a graft before. Was planning on using this for root stock. It's been out of the ground for about 2 weeks (shipped to me). Was going to slice the pup off and a bit off the top for the graft after potting it.

Does any part of this plant look concerning? Is the blackening okay? Any advice appreciated.

*Edit: Thanks for the replies, everybody. I've potted it and will let the main pup grow out a bit before grafting.

Just figured I'd share something that saves me time in the dehydration process. I recently processed 13, 12"x3" PC San Pedro cuttings, so I did quite a few dehydrator runs and was experimenting with ways to save time and space.

The thinner your slices are, the quicker and more effectively they will dehydrate, but the more slices you'll have and the more dehydrator space you'll need. If you're processing a single 12" cutting in a basic dehydrator then you'll probably be able to fit the whole thing, but when you have to process several larger cuttings, you want to maximize surface area per slice.

I've been making slices just under 1/2" thick, as opposed to the recommended 1/4" or less. Then I make parallel "teeth" cuttings, leaving one side of the slab's skin intact. This maximizes surface area and allows the thicker slice to dehydrate as quickly as the thinner slices.

Doing it this way allows you to process around twice as much mass at the same time. Again, it's not really necessary unless you're processing a lot of cactus. I was able to fit 4.5 12"x3" cuttings into two standard 5-tray cylindrical food dehydrators, plus the second half of the 5th cutting after 12 hours of drying. Anyway, that's teeth tek 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷

I've finally processed all my PC Pachanoi cuttings and wanted to share the data. Nothing special, I think, but it's important to share all results. Fumaric acid was used.

Cuttings were about 11" long and 3.5" wide on average. All cuttings were tips.

Weeks cut is an estimate of how long it's been since the cutting was made. I kept the cuttings wrapped in a dark closet.

EDIT: I should clarify that these cuttings were a discount bin sourced from an online vendor, so I have no info on the conditions of the cactus before I received the cuttings.

I had multiple CIELO runs going tonight and one mag stirrer. Decided to salt everything at once for simplicity. My second run sat after being salted for 30 min prior to hitting the stirrer, which allowed tiny xtals to grow, resulting in a glitter appearance. I absolutely love it. A cool cross between full xtals and powder.

Got this freebee from a very reputable online vendor. Does it look like witches broom or nah?
