Last week u/seriously_rare posted here with some screenshots to find a 5x outpost on Kreet, a moon of Anseln, in the Narion system.
The resources are:
- Helium-3
- Alkanes
- Iron
- Lead
- Silver

Narion is a Level 1 system, so ideal for early game when your character is quite squshy and vulnerable to high level enemies, and at a time when most likely you've not yet unlocked the ability to build outposts in extreme environments or otherwise hostile worlds. In fact, Kreet even has breathable air and relatively ok environmental temperatures at night, so you don't need a burdensome suit on at all times!

NOTE: Narion is a Freestar Collective system, so you may be subject to contraband scans when you enter it - ensure that any illegal, illicit or stolen goods are safely stowed or sold before you head there.

Kreet Itself is the moon of a gas giant with 8 resources, including atmospheric HE-3, meaning you don't need to find a circle of harvestable helium3 on the ground with your scanner, any outpost you build can just have he3 harvesters deployed within the circle.

To start, I'd simply recommend landing literally anywhere, and then scanning all the nearby resources to unlock and better distinguish their colours on the planetary map - this gives you more reference points when you're trying to zone on on the exact spot you need as your landing site.

So, for me anyway, you're looking in the norther hemisphere for this particular shape of nothing, ie no resource element is there:

daytime colour:

nighttime colour

And, just below it, you'll see some HnCn, Pb and Ag

https://preview.redd.it/oa3pbf0cyqxg1.png?width=1818&format=png&auto=webp&s=34d8e6b0e8e4260435985ed949abdaefe7ad499b

The imporant thing is that we're not aiming for the deadcenter of the top of the "finger" of light colour, but over to the right. We want these tiny pixles of light colour on the left of our circle

When correctly place, the landing site diamond will look like this

https://preview.redd.it/lb1fycgyyqxg1.png?width=1032&format=png&auto=webp&s=abf1efe14fbc98aa3172e5c1e3fa73dc04f7de27

take note of how the left point is above and slightly more left that that edge of light colour

https://preview.redd.it/5ahlcrubzqxg1.png?width=719&format=png&auto=webp&s=953047cd2f6c8f2de3f2cdf09f234dcd67d7c10d

As you see we're aiming our landing zone to the right of that triangle region of lead/Pb, up and to the left of the island of silver / Ar

You'll also note that the right point is just a tiny bit above the highest northerly point of that blotch of silver / Ar thats to the right.

When you'll land, you'll have this hill in front of you with three prominent bumps breaking the skyline.

https://preview.redd.it/u0t8uea60rxg1.png?width=3200&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e6694472adfade4642bd1aa85c5d72d01c5e05f

You will then exit your ship and make your way towards that hill

https://preview.redd.it/bkaz6v6i0rxg1.png?width=2202&format=png&auto=webp&s=87c9a25aad9991605fb6c17073479233b9ffc9a2

Head towards the middle of the three downard ridges of that hill, following the Iron/Fe thats on the ground in front of you

https://preview.redd.it/4xypfes21rxg1.png?width=3423&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9232e3675d9eae9d7b1bf7e3134122817d76cb7

You'll come to two large boulders, with a gap between them, thats lined up with the middle vertical ridge in front of you.

Drop your outpost market between those two boulders

Hopefully, you've not got the right spot and have earned yourself a nice early game outpost.

Heres the location on the area map

This is just the second outpost "how to" I've done, so please let me know if theres anything vague in this that I could improve etc!

Id been struggling to find a high resource count outpost early game that wasn't bressel 3b and thought there had to be something in Cheyenne due to so many resource related sidequests and mini-missions.

So I found a 3 year old reddit post by u/oldwhiteguy mentioning a good spot in the Cheyenne system that gives 5 resources: Helium-3, Lead, Silver, Aluminium and Uranium, but it was a one line description only, and I'd tried and failed a good few times to successfully find the spot.

Thankfully I've now found the exact spot to place it that works every single time!

For background, Cheyenne is a level 1 system and the moon of Bindi is not an extreme environment, so its immediately accessible from the start of the game as a location. Bindi is a moon of Akila, so its very close to a lot of stores etc, and it allows you to almost immediately satisfy one side quest for a particular nearby company that requests like 5k units of lead.

https://preview.redd.it/lplmoakew4xg1.png?width=2452&format=png&auto=webp&s=c4c9004cbeef689b66ae6010c6d5c5f54c8801ac

As oldwhiteguy noted, its at the border of a dogleg of uranium and some he-3 north of the mining outpost.

https://preview.redd.it/jabdzcmfw4xg1.png?width=1729&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e74dbd58b3b76e07d410d97f509e450020fab15

The key is to ensure that theres one green pixel outside the bottom left corner of your circle, at the 7 o'clock mark

https://preview.redd.it/g3ch9h9jy4xg1.png?width=1766&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b625cf14f56792d32a03f840ec38645d464fea4

So it highlights uranium, and its rocky desert biome.

And heres what the successful placement of the landing site should look like

https://preview.redd.it/q8sw795jw4xg1.png?width=2456&format=png&auto=webp&s=6e22fb6922a5f6170516219629acb6aec1aca528

https://preview.redd.it/uddahviry4xg1.png?width=965&format=png&auto=webp&s=265b71d3f1bcbe01c23a9dc16d180836bd111848

When you land, you'll be facing West, and you'll immediately know its successful if youre staring at this mountain from your cockpit, with more to its left, but nothing to its immediate right side.

Once we exit the ship, its the yellow highlighted rock we're going to head to and stand on.

https://preview.redd.it/d1iw482mw4xg1.png?width=2641&format=png&auto=webp&s=1edb5c63d97e27a1ba0ff8284ee83b8c6f0eab7c

Heres two more photos from my character standing on top of the ship at the landing point, facing North (with the planet of Akila in the distance) and then West, towards the mountain, again with the big boulder highlighted - you're going to head immediately to that rock, stand on top of it and then face West.

https://preview.redd.it/17fobydvw4xg1.png?width=2805&format=png&auto=webp&s=33dd2b114cc866162d197bc32f93e36d584da20c

https://preview.redd.it/afj8n73xw4xg1.png?width=2869&format=png&auto=webp&s=2bdcc23ca51274dcd76283e86dfc1f62a192f729

From that vantage point you'll see a very obvious delineation of soil types, with a long line of darker soil almost like a road going off into the distance.
At the bottom of your view you see the downward slope of the mountain with a large rock about halfway down the slope (yellow arrow).

Here's the view standing on the rock and facing west :

https://preview.redd.it/gau58s91x4xg1.png?width=2545&format=png&auto=webp&s=34a2dc0d067d34bbf7b1b83023d12f1d7fe7818c

Head directly west down the slope to that rock, and with scanner on you'll see the Helium-3 deposit appear. The goal is to ensure you place your outpost marker far enough down the slope to fully capture the entirety of that deposit, so you can end up placing 7 extractors on it, 6 equidistant along the circumference, and one slap bang in the middle.

https://preview.redd.it/9iu71w77x4xg1.png?width=2657&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd361f75eb9474d834dbc9739a1ab1b7997f20d0

You'll now have all the lead, helium-3, silver, aluminium and uranium you could ever need.

Ensure that you put some defences though, as the area can be casually patrolled by low level Ecliptic mercs now and again.

Heres the final location on the area map
