Saw this car driving erratically toward the light so I kept a little distance. Damn good thing too, because he came like a foot from my car when he decided to do this. His passenger was yelling "he's a good driver, he's got this". Then he proceeds to get right back in the lane he was in before he pulled the stunt to make a sharp right hand turn because he took so long switching lanes back to the lane he needed to be in to turn right.

So do you agree with his passenger? Do you think this guy could be a good driver?

I had to combine two clips from my dashcam, one before getting to the light and the one from at the light and after. There is a part in between that froze where the videos meet, sorry, I'm just starting to learn how to use Clipchamp for these videos.

I can't believe how brazen some people are when it comes to lying when they're selling a product or service.

I switched car insurance recently because my previous provider raised my rate like 40% between policy periods. While shopping around, I was going for the best rate I could find with a company with a good reputation. Decided on State Farm based on the quotes I was given.

After telling the State Farm rep I was going with them, she said "okay, when will you be switching over your homeowners insurance?" I never told her I was going to switch over the homeowners...she assumed that to give me a multi policy discount which now had to be taken away unless I switched. Hmm...maybe ask me about that before hand. No, not switching homeowners. Still slightly better rate than the next best with a reputable insurer, I'm annoyed but not done with them yet.

After paying for my first month, she starts to describe "drive safe & save" to me, a program for discounts where they monitor your driving. Again, I never agreed to this. She tells me my rate will go up another 10% if I don't take that program, and it could go down by up to 30% next period depending on my driving. I tell her then that I'm annoyed and really don't want a big brother device in my car, and she proceeds to tell me the following: They just want to track the number of miles driven to determine your rate, they don't even care if you speed unless it's like 10-15 miles over the speed limit and don't even care about using your phone while driving. This sounds super fishy, but I drive safe anyway (don't speed, brake slowly, don't use my phone while I drive) and I'm 1 day from my previous insurance expiring and coverage lapsing, so I say sure, whatever.

I then get the app and go to request the beacons, and the app, which has the REAL details, tells me what I will be dinged for: fast braking, fast acceleration, fast turning, speeding 8 or more over, and ANY PHONE USAGE WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING.

I'm not annoyed about the conditions of the app, that's about what I expected. But lying to me...my rate better be 10% less or more when my policy renews or I WILL switch again out of principle. I would switch right now, but I'm honestly curious now how it will work out. Even if I decide to stay with State Farm, I'll be calling around to other offices to see if they can match the rate and cancel the contract with the office I currently have it with, and I'll tell them my reason, both to the office I will sign up with if they can take me and when I call to cancel/switch it from the current office.

Oh, and the agent had the nerve (I'm sure it's just part of their checklist) to send me a "please leave me a review" link. Not going to burn that bridge while I'm insured by them, but it's on my to do list when I switch. I can gripe here because this site is mostly anonymous, unless someone happens to know you IRL and can associate your handle with you.

▲ 3 r/ebike

I’m considering getting an e-bike but there are a lot of factors I have to weigh. Cost, motor size / class, brand reputation, etc.

I’m hoping Reddit can give me opinions on a few of the brands out there I’ve been looking at:

Aventon

Ancheer

Lectric

ENVO

Any feedback on experiences with these brands would be appreciated. Thanks!
