This is not a buy/sell post, but rather a question of where can i go to buy parts at rates that aren't unjustifiably ridiculous as hard drive manufacutrers increase proces for no reason as ai need more ram and ssd's, and there isn;t really much demand from ai datacentres for hard drives, but they are still increasing their proces to match because inflation.
I live in Navi Mumbai, so MMR is mostly within reach for me, I can't seem to find any well priced hard drives online, need something between 10-20 tb and three of them, i have a budget of 1L( which I think is reasonable for 30-60tb over 3 drives )
Any advice on where to check?
My go to guy in Vashi Plaza has decided to start matching online scalper prices instead of giving me real normal prices like he used to.
Also, Serverpartsdeals is a reputable refurbished seller, but they would be shipping internationally to my and i would have to send drives back internationally for warranty, which i'm not sure will be very easy to do, I would be less worried of the drived were new or manufacturer recertified, but the only drives which fit my requirements are seller recertidfied and have a lot of hours on them which doesn't make me confident for their longevity.

TLDR:
Elastic means each molecular path can be treated as a bean of light reflecting off of all the collisions it makes, thus like the principle of reversibility of light, the molecules will also reach their initial points to just where they were before the dividing barrier disappeared.
Due to the elastic nature of the collisions, we can model the path of each molecule as a beam of light reflecting exactly off of the walls and other molecules, mind you entropy is a statistical observation and not a given, thus, like how if light reversed will travel back to where it went, if we use an analogy if having an ephemeral mini mirror show up normally in the path of each molecule, thus letting it reflect backwards and achieving the same effect as " instantly reversed velocity direction" we will see that the particles will eventually go back to where they started in our simulation, entropy is not a law, it is merely a statistical observation.
Another way to think about it is that the effective reversal in velocity can be treated as a time reversal, in effect (-dx)/dt = dx/(-dt), making it so that the system will devolve towards an earlier state.
After it goes back, sure it will spread out again, but it is a given that it will pass through it's initial state again.
To all those saying that the reverse of random is still random hence the molecules will stay spread out I give you this thought:
An unbiased flip of a fair coin is always ramdom in whether it will come out as heads or tails, but if the flip was reversed, in that you made it suddenly go backwards up into the air and then back down to your hand ( because you can model the angular velocity and translational veolcity given to it by your hand when you flipped it), would it not be true that it would complete the same number of rotations it did in the flio and then regain it's initial position?
It's initial randomness stems from the fact that we don't have knowledge of it's initial variables, or others like how it interacts with air as it flies through it's path, hence it can be any value and is considered random, however as soon as we realises the nature of those values, ( with the coin for example the angular impulse provided by your thumb when you flip the coin, the moment of intertia, etc) we can suddenly make accurate predictions about the initial state from the outcome, like if we know that the coin was in the air for 10 seconds and was given an angular velocity equivalent to one rotation every 5 seconds, then we can say that if it landed as a heads, 10 seconds/2 rotations ago it would have also been a heads.
In real life of course the coins randombess is also heavily affected by fliud interactions with the air, but in an idealised scenario like Loschmidt's Paradox, we can in fact accurately model it because we have all the information, plus a normal set of assumptions which we can treat as true such that the question isn't lying to us and the velocties were actually reversed exactly.
