Putting the actual question in the body for spoilers. But I’m trying to decide if I’m gonna crack a drink and try to finish DOS2 tonight or if it’s a lot longer than I think. But I’m in Arx and I’m done with all my side quests and I just got the source amulet from the toy maker and I’m about to go into the path of blood.

I’m playing on explorer mode and I’m level 20, about how much longer until I roll credits? Could I finish it in like ~3 hours or is there still a good stretch left? I can’t tell if I’ve got a giant massive new area coming up or something as short as just a final battle? (Also apologies for the short question but I’m worried about getting spoilers in my google results

Thanks!

I suppose this is a sequel to my previous singles post. But I was finally able to break out of my Ultra Ball slump and make it into Master Ball in Singles! Thanks for the feedback from everyone on that post it was helpful (I dropped TTarr for Kangaskhan, gave Garchomp the Choice Scarf (which was 100% clutch).

Most of all wanted to pay tribute to my new GOAT of GOATs Rotom Wash. This guy (same moveset and EV spread in doubles and singles) hard carried me in both ladders, an absolute freak of nature. Spent way too long last night tracing over the south park meme in MSPaint lol.

I will say my singles team is definitely split into two camps, my Pokeball to Ultraball 3 team of Hawlucha, Orthworm, then Sableye/Rotom. And then when I hit a wall and retooled the team the core of Rotom Wash, Kangaskhan, and Garchomp brought me over the finish line into Masterball.

My main strat with the final push was, generally I would see how Garchomp could match up against their whole team, and if odds were good he had a favorable chance with his move coverage, I would lead him. Otherwise if things were too risky for Garchomp then I'd lead Rotom to hit Will o wisp and navigate from there generally. Kangaskhan was my spicy wildcard pick (it has scrappy). This thing ruined so many Gengars, Chandelures, and Basculegions. They'd swap to a ghost type after I brought it in, only to get obliterated by Last Resort after the Fake Out.

I'm just glad I was able to have Hawlucha meaningfully contribute for a bulk of the ladder even though there were much better options for a sweeper, but he's one of my favorites so it was important he stayed on the team for the entire climb.

Anyways thanks for reading, I also appreciate all the help and advice from users on this sub, this has been such a fun dive into competitive pokemon and this community is fun and supportive so thanks for that. Very fun to be a fan for so long and finally try this side of the franchise out, and bring along some of my Pokemon from the GBA days! (Charizard and Sableye are from my GBA playthroughs of FireRed and Emerald from like 2004/2005, Hawlucha is from my ORAS team on 3DS, and Garchomp was on my Sword team, so it was cool as hell to bring some of these guys on the climb!)

Lastly I already posted about my doubles team and experience here if you're interested!
