Latitude 7420, 7310 and 5330. Which one?

My main purpose of this device is to basically be a replacement for the old PC I have stored that I can't easily access anymore. My PC has about 250-400gb of mp3 music files, and about 200gb of sentimental photo/video. I've taken a hobby of printing photos chronologically and making albums. I would like to use this laptop primarily for photo viewing/organizing, music listening/transferring to phone (lot of music not on streaming services), and also as a secondary storage place as there is a lot of sentiment in these photos and music.

I can find all 3 for about 300. The two 7xxx series are on Amazon renewed, and the 5xxx series is private sell on Facebook.

I also recently discovered there are clam shell, touch screen, and 360 touchscreen options. The idea of turning it into an iPad sounds nice, but I'm not sure how convenient or nice it is to use a 2 in 1 or a touchscreen on a laptop in general?? Not sure how responsive the screen is, how accurate the touches are, or if I would actually end up using it. It leaves me in a sticky situation because the 7xxx options are 2 in 1 as well as the touchscreen is only 512gb but the regular is 1tb. The 5xxx is 1tb and a 2 in 1.

Under 600, USA.

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: as cheap as I can go within reason. 600 of less, but really looking for 250-400.

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

Yes, absolutely. Even fb marketplace-- wasn't sure if buying used was a good idea for laptops.

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Performance. Battery life. Build quality.

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

Relatively, but I won't be traveling with it. Light and small is better.

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

N/a

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Not so much.

  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

No games other than roller coaster tycoon or StarCraft 2-- absolutely not a necessity, however.

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Keyboard/mouse support if desired would be nice, able to plug in an external HD for additional storage protection as I'll need it to transfer all of my files from PC to the new laptop.

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I have found interesting laptops: one I found on Amazon for 300 right now renewed, and **about 170 on FB marketplace (fishy??)**the Dell Latitude 7310. 16gb ram, 1tb of HD. Not sure if it's capable of my needs??? I see it's 6 years old, they have a newer version...but that's 1,000 dollars. I see it also comes equipped with AI crap and the 7300 doesnt. My main concern is it being slow---bogging down viewing music or photos quickly.

Me: pixel 10. Her: iPhone 15 or something.

This only happens when she is traveling home after work. At home, flawless. At work, flawless. It is specifically when she is going to work or coming home (maybe the difference of wifi not being available while commuting?)

Basically, I will send her text messages, and it doesn't send!! I have to manually select the text and force it to go through regular message, and it sends. It's terrible because we never notice our messages aren't coming in until a long time afterwards.

She has since turned off RCS and it's no longer an issue, but we would like rcs enabled. Since she turned it off, I am assuming the issue is coming from her end. I'm not an apple guy so I'm unsure -- is there any steps she can try to alleviate the problem?

I'm on a pixel 10pro in the USA, T-Mobile. and while it's fine I'm also looking for something new. Honestly, I am sort of looking at apple however my work phone is an iPhone and I do sort of hate using it.

It's not the amazing camera or the excellent battery life, it's...the actual daily use of it. All of the small things. The no numbers row on the keyboard. The horrific cursor on words. The no universal back button or drop keyboard button.

My priorities are definitely camera. That is why I have a pixel. I'm just wondering if there is something else out there, android based? Samsung I hear is still iffy on the camera shutter and moving objects, and they gimp the smaller version of the galaxies and hold the premium features in their phablet sized options.

Are there android phones that excell in camera and battery life that are similar form factor as the pixel 10 pro? I know there are Chinese phones that are really really taking off in those categories, I just have zero clue if they're compatible in the US, if they're safe to use for privacy, and if they're solid/reliable.
