You’re right these 400s are super slow…
And it’s only 5th gear

And it’s only 5th gear
Speedo is in KMPH
250 KMPH is 155.6 mph
Edit: not my bike, not my video, ai generated, in Mexico
Gas being what it is right now with no signs of it going down has me hesitant to tune it if I can only put in 93. I know it’s a supersport track bike that happens to be allowed for street but I mainly use it as a commuter so the few dollar difference between 87 and 93 can really stack up.
When I was bike shopping, I was super skeptical of the zx4rr would be too much and almost got an Aprilia 457, but last second I switched and did layaway for an Zx4rr. It was the best possible choice I coulda made. (making this after getting the bike)
Posting to if anyone is skeptical of starting on this bike like I was. Send it, you won’t regret.
Title. I'm 5'10", 150 lbs. I have no riding experience other than bicycles and the MSF beginner course, which I passed but didn't feel totally comfortable during. My clutch control isn't great (but enough to pass the course). I also passed the 650cc+ riding test fine.
I tested on an XT250, which has a wet weight of 290lbs, and I was surprised how heavy the bike was having never ridden before. Since the ZX-4RR is 416lbs and much more powerful, I'm worried it'll be too much bike. But, I've read online that even at full throttle, it doesn't accelerate like some other 400cc+ bikes.
I don't plan on driving much on actual roads until I get more practice (just setting up cones in a parking lot or something), but I'm also wondering if I should get something older and cheaper to practice for a few months before moving up.
Would appreciate any honest thoughts!
Im thinking of getting the zx4r from 2025. Im from europe so its gonna have the full hp (80) and was wondering if the zx4r would be a better choise Here than the Yamaha r7. Do you have any experience with the difference of these bikes?
I have been hearing stories about how the engines have blown. I want to get a 2025 one but I am concerned now.
After a year and a few months since someone decided to hit me on a green light and total my first bike (Ninja 400 '22) I finally was able to pick up a ZX4RR '23 KRT with only 40 miles on it.
Ever since the accident, I discovered the ZX4 and I knew that was the next bike I wanted. Worked hard, over coming injuries, and when Wife said go for it, I did. Every post I've seen on this forum made a dream a reality, and what a experience this bike is. Truly amazing.
Im thinkin bout gettin some mods, any good starter pack mods besides a tail tidy? Thinkin bout a Yoshi AT2 slip on too.
Much love to all the ZX4 riders, you guys know whats up. 💚

Hey guys, I found a used 2024 zx4rr that I want to purchase but its 250 miles away and I need to rent Uhaul. noticed they have a good deal on the small 9' cargo vans.
Does anyone know whether zx4rr will fit or has anyone done it?
Looking to get a slip on for my 25 zx4r I’ve been looking at the sc project crt but people say it’s too loud. Any suggestions?
