Looking for friend/s

What’s up everybody? Like the title says, looking for a friend or friends. Used to be a pretty social guy but I’m in my late 30s now and don’t have a lot of opportunities to meet potential friends. I’m also an introverted person so I’m not really one to be chatty out in public anyways.

Hoping to meet somebody similar to me. Single, straight, divorced dude. When I’m not at work I’m either watching YouTube or hiking. Have some interest in politics, deep thinker, skeptic, I like to question things. I’m sane. I’ve always been the type to have one or two close friends as opposed to a bunch of surface level friends.

Anyone out there in a similar predicament?

Is York, PA a good place to move to?

I (23f) just got a new full time position in Glen Rock, and I am thinking about relocating to York since it’s the closest city. As someone from MD and grew up in a very diverse area, I’m worried about feeling out of place. I’m black/Salvadoran and my girlfriend who would be moving with me is Dominican. Are there places for us to go out and have a good time? Neighborhoods that we would should think twice about moving to or places that are quieter/louder than others? Anything would be helpful honestly.

Commute from York to Lancaster Station

Hello all, does anyone know how to commute from York to Lancaster Station to catch the Keystone train to New York?

I’m going to US for a work trip and would love to visit some locations in New York while there.

Any tip or advice (especially on bus routes and the like, as well as schedules) would be very helpful. Thank you!

Recently got released from the hospital due to a concussion and a few other major injuries was asleep the whole time because they had to realign and get some of my limbs set so they could heal right and when I got back to my place my name was off the lease and my roommate was no where to be found landlord is telling me I can pay the late rent to stay but it's an absurd amount and working in the mental health field is not as urgent/stable or reliable and I need a deposit to stay in a room or a hotel and haven't been working due to obvious reasons. Anyone have any suggestions?

I’m looking to transform the dull breezeway on my property into a vibrant piece of art and I need your creative talents! Whether you’re a local graffiti artist or just someone with a unique vision, I’d love to donate the space to you.

Bring your ideas, your spray cans, and let’s make this area something fun.
I can also provide or donate some spray paint cans.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be, let’s chat!

Wooded Parks + Pokemon Go

I moved to the area just last week (from the Philly suburbs).

Does anyone have any good recommendations for York County parks that are both wooded, and good for Pokemon Go?

Googling indicates Cousler Park is good for Pokemon Go, but it seems to be mostly open.

Something mostly wooded, with a 1.5 - 2 mile walking trail would be awesome.

Thanks!

I don’t see the appeal of “Famous Hot Weiner”

I love me a good hotdog. But I just don’t see the appeal of Famous Hot Weiner in York and Hanover.

The hotdogs just doesn’t taste good at all and I’ve tried on four separate occasions.

Can anyone recommend a great place that has good dogs?

I'm 99.9% certain that it is. It is also telling me to follow a sketchy link to make payment before the end of this week.

My real question is this: how would I be contacted if I did have a legit traffic violation from a speed camera or other traffic enforcement mechanism which doesn't require me being face-to-face with a cop who is giving me a physical ticket?

Six months ago the board approved an $18,000,000 stadium project. Now they're cutting 20 full time positions. We have lost the point of public education.

West York Area School District cuts 20 full-time positions to address budget deficit.

How to get involved?

Hi everyone, I (20M) just moved to York for an internship I have nearby, and don't really know anyone in the area at all, and want to meet people this summer and not just chill in my apartment.

I know there's a bunch of stuff around here, but I was wondering if there's any specific clubs, organizations, programs people recommend, or just general places to explore. I know I'm being super general, but I'm just curious about what people have going on here.

Heavy state police presence downtown including helicopter

What’s going on? Lots of state police patrolling the city including a helicopter. Related to the murder in penn park maybe? If so then stay safe, I don’t think there would be this many police if they don’t think the killer is still downtown.

Hi everyone. I have been in York for maybe 4 or 5 years now. I have no friends. I don't mean to sound sad. It just is what it is. My self confidence is horrible these days and I just really need to dig myself out of this. Maybe someone to get coffee with or hang out will help. :) (I am a gay guy as a disclaimer. That doesn't matter but I mention it because I know there are people who don't like that and wouldn't hang out with me.) I'm in my mid thirties. I love movies, music,COFFEE, and wine LOL Anyway, its a long shot but I hope you all have a great sunday!
