First ever time calling in sick. Weird response from store
Hi. So today was my first ever day calling in sick and well called the store and well I appreciate it can be a pain when someone calls in sick but the response I got was weird
Her first words were "oh your sick, well you were meant to start in 20 minutes so I can understand sickness but that's not good timing what was your original plan to wake up now and come to work"
Just left it as a 'nah I'm sick' and hung up
Kinda feel like putting notice in just due to the attitude of managers that do f all and this
I 100% get that they want to reduce theft, but they should provide something safe like lockers. I had to take my laptop in to avoid it getting stolen. They're just risking our belongings being stolen to reduce the risk of theirs being stolen. Disgusting imo.
edit: sorry for blurry photo, I was taking it as I was leaving
Well I mean, how could I not?
I hope this made someone happy
how can anyone afford anything
I spent almost $40 on sandwich ingredients, nothing fancy, That’s more than an hours work pay (casual rate) for like 5 tuna sandwiches. No wonder people get sticky fingers.
How long can these last in fridge/freezer?
Gday guys, I’m 19 and just starting buying food for myself. How long can these last in the fridge once I open the plastic? Should I freeze or should I cook them all at once? Thanks in advance
Made me chuckle this morning
Seeing this in the store made me have a good laugh - since when did Woolworths utlise farmers to help with their own milk 💀😂
How do I get “do not rehire” revoked?
I am certain that I have been placed as do not rehire by my past manager as I have now applied to about 6 different stores and my applications have been rejected only a few hours later without me even having done the ai chat interview.
Does anyone know the best way to get this revoked so I can be hired by a different store. I have called the people advisory line but as I am not a current team member I can’t actually get through to an advisor and am instead directed to fill out a query form which I have done. Is there another way to get through to an advisor or support to get this revoked? Or is this unable to be revoked? Do I need to contact my old store directly?
EDIT: for all the people asking why I even want to go back. I liked the job and I’m already trained and they already have my info. And yes I have applied for other jobs at other companies.
Cadbury chocolate
Soon a block will be $10 so I’m trying to workout why the price keeps climbing when the raw ingredient price is way below the peaks of last year.
Woolworths staff refused to let a friend take the accessible trolley to their car
Hi everyone,
This happened a while ago but I've only had the chance to enquire about it now.
A couple friends of mine noticed that the wheelchair accessible trolleys were locked away. No problem, they requested one and used it in store.
When they tried to leave the store to bring the groceries to the car, one of the workers refused to let them leave with the trolley and they were told it needed to stay at the store.
After a long line of conversation and an argument they ended up allowing my friends to take the groceries to the car using the trolley, only if the trolley was brought all the way back to the store.
My questions are:
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Is this actual Woolworths policy or just a misinformed worker on a power trip?
I tried calling the "Instore queries line" with no response. Is there a better place to enquire/complain about this event?
The fresh food people...
Got these delightful strawberries in an online delivery just now, one looks half eaten its decomposed so much and others have stayed to. Bottom of the bag covered in strawberry juice too.
Bought it today it cost $9. It looked edible in the packet but when I pulled it out I was shocked. Labelled as Rump Steak
Fresh Mould Delivery
Fresh food people. So fresh, it's green with mould. One question remains: did the person bagging it really not see it?
Raw steaks that somehow didn’t get plastic shrink wrapped. Notice the lovely red glow 🤢🤢
Maximum weight capacity of 6kg
Inside was a 40 pack of hyrdalyte, 1 small can of V (off the shelf so can’t blame condensation) and 2 small colouring in books with 12 pages each and the bag had a blow out 🤣
A-grade pork purchase
Just purchased these pork scotch fillets and this was hiding under the sticker and also facing down away from viewing eyes.
Anyone have any idea what this is?
It’s gone into the bin and I’ll take the photo into the store tomorrow.
