Is “roadside” a geography term?
I really need those extra 4 points! What do we all think??
Greater racket-tailed drongo question
If I tuck the Lineated woodpecker can I then move the GR-TD to a new habitat even if it is only able to be played to the forest? My instinct is yes......
Where did I go wrong?
I’m still pretty new to Duet mode and its impact on game scores vs 5-person games. I got my dream tuck lineup and still failed to score over 140. My highest game on the app is 146 and I got that one with bonus cards, free food from the owlet-nightjar, and end-game egg laying and food caching. I see people posting tuck games in the 160-180s and don’t know where I went wrong. I knew from my starting hand of cardinal, raven, and chiffchaff I was going to play a tuck game, as I’ve been shooting for a board like this for the past month or so and then drew the mute swan early and just went full tuck mode. Insight and constructive criticism appreciated.
What's your favorite "Kind" of game to play?
What'd you say is your most satisfying type of game to play? For me I'd say either a food Forrest engine because those seem hard to get a lot of points or lots of bonus cards
I finally collected them all!!
I was so proud to collect all the extensions! And it got really heavy... By the way, do you usually mix all the new cards? If you mix all the extensions of the Americas, you have to do hummingbird gimmicks, right? I'm worried. But I think it would be terrible to separate the Americas from the mixed deck pile.
Activations that say “draw 1 card, discard 1 card from your hand at the end of the turn” - can it be the same card you drew?
I think title explains it. I guess the question here is if the card you drew immediately counts as part of your hand - if so, I assume you could discard it if you don’t like it better than your other cards.
Creators that post bad games?
Hey all.
I’m looking for some YouTube content creators that post bad games, and maybe run through some of their thought processes and what could have been improved?
I enjoy the content that’s out there but it seems the good cards are always there.
While I don’t doubt these content creators are better than I am. I play too many game that “just don’t work” and post mid 90’s (Oceania) or mid 70’s/low 80’s (base game and Europe) that I’d love to see how a better player handles game where the cards aren’t there.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

Birds in The Netherlands - fan pack
Some of my fan made birds from my country! Feedback very welcome! When tucking or caching for any of these 'double powers', you must allways tuck from your hand or cache from your own supply.
Any dutch/european birds that desperately still need a card?

Automa: Convince me it’s fun
I’m a Wingspan fanatic. When I play solo, I usually just play multiplayer mode against bots on the app. I’ve always been interested in Automa since it’s specifically designed for solo play, but honestly… I find it really confusing and hard to get into.
The cards, symbols, mechanics, and flow all feel unnecessarily complicated to me — even with ChatGPT helping explain things. And so far, I’m not seeing what makes it more fun or rewarding than just playing against bots.
Am I missing something? Can anyone convince me it’s worth investing the time to learn?
Average scores?
I’m always seeing folks post their personal best scores of like 800 million points. What do you feel like your scores average out to after having a fair amount of experience playing the game and being well familiar with techniques, cards, mechanics, etc…?
Also… I do not play electronic version… so, I’m missing out b any data that may be showing or collected there.
12 more birds of my Birds of the Himalayas fan pack. Any feedback is welcome!

Damn, new PR = 179!
Everything just fell into place tonight to bump my all-time PR from 161 to 179. I’d probably give my game MVP to either the Indian Bustard (who I pulled in my starting hand but I just sat on until I could cache a dozen wheats) or my Dovekie (who pulled the Red-Breasted Meadowlark in postgame to give me a 4th exclusively-grassland bird). The maddening thing about Wingspan is I won’t be able to score like this again for the next 100 games.
Best Wingspan nesting box alternatives?
Hi all! I recently found an incredible deal for Wingspan base + all expansions (including Americas expansion) for $80 on marketplace. We now have too many boxes and it's become a chore to pull it all out to setup a game.
I rather not spend $70+ on the Wingspan nesting box as I've heard it's too big, even with all the expansions. I'd love to find something more affordable that can keep all the components organized. Any recommendations appreciated!
