Using XP for the first time in 10y
Hey, so uh, context before I go on with yapping about my XP experience in 2026:
I come from a strict family, and my computers that I had from 2009 to 2016 ran XP. I did use linux and windows 7 inbetween, but that was on other people's computers.
So, I decided to install XP on a Dell Vostro 1310 I scored at my previous job, along with everything I used to use on my xp machine back in the day, and more (except one game that doesn't like my laptop's hardware config) so I can re-experiece my childhood as an almost 22y person.
What's kinda sad is that using XP makes me wish that I could use it as my main OS... I just love the look and feel of it, and just how awesome it is as a whole. It's so fast, fluid, and responsive, even while heavily multitasking with a modern web browser (Supermium).
I actually dunno what more there is that I can add, other than I've been lurking in this sub for a bit, lol.
