Found these little guys in a tide pool in southwestern BC. No idea what they are.
What fish is this?
Looks like a carp. But it’s by a canal that feeds into the sea, few hundred yards from sea. Also has blue crabs around it
Catfish PR Wichita, Kansas
I’m not sure what kind of catfish this is. I am thinking a channel cat, but have never seen one this big.
Spotted in Coral Gables Canal, about 500 feet from the ocean
Yellow Jack or Blue Runner? Collected in Bajada, Cuba
No black tips to the dorsal fin so i’m not sure if it’s a blue runner
What is the hardest part about fishing? What are some improvements you would want to have before fishing or while you're fishing
reddit.comKokanee or Chinook?
Caught in Lake Billy Chinook, Oregon. Thought it was a Kokanee at first but the black spots and dark mouth are throwing me off.
Here’s a tough one for y’all. I know the species but I am curious if anyone else can identify it.
What fish is this?

Fish in my stream where usually aren't any fish
I recently made the discovery that my stream, connected to my garden, now had a small family of fish in it. It's odd because the stream is usually very shallow and very small, so the only "real" native species that houses here are crawfish. Idk if these are kois or something else. Can someone help me? If those are kois then I know these are not natural cause in the rivers where I live, kois are not natural.
The stream is a part of the bigger river 'Wupper' in western Germany, in the "Bergisches Land"
Does anyone know what fish this is? This was taken in Thailand - Phi Phi Island area
Bowfin fry?
Southern Wisconsin, where the marshland meets a lake
I caught another fishy!!
I think it’s another bottom feeder fish. Was fishing near a marina near the beach. This is the same NLBN I used to catch the lizardfish. If anyone had any idea what this is let me know it kinda looks poisonous.
Crappi/bluegill hybrid?
So let me start by saying Im a very scientificly grounded fisherman, and am well aware that bluegill and crapi almost never hybridize in the wild; however, this bluegills patterning and coloring above the vertical line is almost identical to a crappi, and also has that purple blue glint in person, as well as the baring of a white crappi. This particular pond has copious amounts of LARGE crappi and bluegill in it. The picture also dosent illustrate this, but it’s particularlly stretched out and long for a bluegill, and its mouth is almost more similar to a green sunfish in terms of how much it opens.
