Crappi/bluegill hybrid?
So let me start by saying Im a very scientificly grounded fisherman, and am well aware that bluegill and crapi almost never hybridize in the wild; however, this bluegills patterning and coloring above the vertical line is almost identical to a crappi, and also has that purple blue glint in person, as well as the baring of a white crappi. This particular pond has copious amounts of LARGE crappi and bluegill in it. The picture also dosent illustrate this, but it’s particularlly stretched out and long for a bluegill, and its mouth is almost more similar to a green sunfish in terms of how much it opens.
