This was an amazing rockville. i got to see some of my favorite bands and have the blast i was looking for. Boobs for freedom did really well and was positively received by most people I met. i had so much fun meet new people pushing boundaries a little and just getting out of my comfort zone and enjoying life.
I want to give a special thanks to all the lovely ladies who participated especially everyone brave enough to let loose and blow the top off.
As I told everyone no pictures will be share or posted.

Literally was at barricade and people kept crowd surfing so we were all getting squished and pushed up front and this lady was getting mad at me because i was pushing into her like when i tell you it was so TIGHT up there and she was literally calling me a bitch and elbowing me and genuinely getting mad like obviously if i had room to move i would also girl ur at barricade you either handle the pushing or you get out. Insane.
Girl who was on my shoulders during MCR then we got separated after she went up crowd surfing, if you're on here dm me.

This was my first rockville, and Im ready to buy next year's tickets!! Is VIP worth it? I did 4 day GA, and got early access (so like USD 400-450 for the whole weekend). Is VIP worth it? I was fine with the spots we found in the crowds, and didnt really have any issues with the heat.

If you’re gonna be about 4-5 people away from the barricade, please for the LOVE OF GOD, don’t try to be all cutesy and shit. Literally had a couple in front of us purposely DROPPING crowd surfers because they had their arms around each other. At one point my gf was yelling heads up and the asshole turned to her and said “why are you being so loud? You’re the only one doing it”. My brother in Christ, if you’re at barricade, you’re gonna have people yelling “HEADS UP” right next to you. Next time you want a calm and peaceful barricade, do NOT come to Rockville mf. Besides that had a blast helping all the crowd surfers, luv yall🫶
If you are over 200 pounds, you don't need to be crown surfing. In the same respect, if you know you are going to duck when a crowd surfer comes, you don't need to be in the pit. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
People have reddit and Rockville, certain behaviors we should not tolerated. A creature like this, Throwing its full weight into a punch at a girl half his size and age is one of those things. We need to band together and identify this individual so the Volusia county sheriff's office can be notified and this situation can be handled. Please remember that This could have been your mother, your sister, your wife, or even your child. Actions need to have consequences and we as a community need to be better than this.
Okay I’m gonna start this off by saying I enjoy the crowd surfers and am all for it but this year has been awful. Yesterday at TPIY (my favorite band) we had no choice but to leave the front. It was endless. One after another, there wasn’t even a chance to look and enjoy the show. Have some awareness people. Give some space in between or cut down on the overall number or better yet, BOTH. People were being dropped, I was holding people up with my head at some points. While we’re at it if you’re over 160? DONT GO UP. Holy crap. Im a strong dude that goes to the gym and some of you are WAY too heavy to be up there. Theres often people up front that refuse to help and if it’s just me I cant keep you up there. Have some respect for other people around you.
Dont get me started on the crowds this weekend either. Some of the most ignorant people I’ve ever met.

Don't listen to the entitled little babies that come straight to reddit or facebook to complain about every inch of the festival, they were never going to enjoy themselves anyways. It was hot as fuck, it rained and shows got delayed till later in the night, crowd surfers ate shit, People got pushed through to get to the pit and everyone was rowdy as fuck!! And thats how a metal show goes folks. I got to the front for BMTH, Turnstile, parkway drive, Lamb of God, Whitechapel, Slaughter to prevail and Sepultura and moshed an sang my heart out and I would never of seen all those bands in one weekend, and get to the front for ALL of them with only a GA pass without a festival like Welcome to Rockville. If you ever think about hitting up this MAGICAL festival, don't think twice just DO IT! The real ones, the people youre gonna meet there and become lifelong friends with an fucking wreck shop with, I promise they aren't on these pages acting like pussies. Theyre at the festival waiting for you to join. See ya next year
For people in the front of the crowd: You can’t complain about surfers being there. You’re at the front of a rock show, there’s gonna be surfers, if you get kicked or dropped on you shouldn’t have been st the front.
For surfers: You accept the risk of being dropped and/or hurt when you ask to be surfed. You can’t expect everyone to carry you for your 30 second instagram video.
Basically surfers have the right to surf if they choose and people shouldn’t complain that they do, but people also have the right to not participate in carrying surfers seeing as the surfers intentionally went up there. It’s not dropping someone if you never attempted to lift in the first place.
This is my fourth Rockville, and this time I brought some friends with me because I truly love this festival. With that said I don’t want to beat a dead horse with the “to crowd surf or not to crowd surf” debate, but I do want to say this.
My friends told me they wanted to crowd surf this year, and I made it very clear that there is a time and place for crowd surfing, but overall I knew there wouldn’t be much trouble for them given they’re pretty reasonably sized and not too heavy. With that said, I myself am heavier than my friends, I work out and sit comfortably at ~200 lbs. I know the average person cannot hold let alone lift 200 lbs over their head, so I stay my happy self on the ground and enjoy the show.
I’m not trying to body shame or anything, I’m just saying before you ask to go up think about where you are in the crowd and be a little more realistic as to who you’re entrusting to carry your body towards the front. We’re all slick, covered in sweat and dirty, and if the people below you don’t have a heads up you can’t be mad when they can’t catch you, or if they choose not to catch you at all. Not everyone is strong enough and/or willing to put their body through that much strain to make sure you don’t fall through.
Also just an extra note, stop trying to crowd surf through pits, it’s a nightmare for everyone involved.
I’ve been to a lot of festivals and many a Rockville but this year had some problems I wanted to point out. Namely, people who choose to crowd surf are not safe here. I noticed several times people actively dodging or moving away from surfers and almost dropping them head-first. If you’re towards the front, you NEED to help. I’m a small guy, holding my even smaller girlfriend up for most sets, and because people were dodging, I ended up holding the weight of four people on my weak ass shoulders. TLDR if you don’t have the strength or will to participate in floor stuff, hang to the back. No shame in that :)
