ok, stick with me on this one, in the 1994 cohen brothers film the hudsucker proxy, i don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen it so I won't go into tons of plot details, in the 50th min or so there's a scene in the news room chiefs office, where a reporter played by Bruce Campbell smacks the backside of another reporter played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, she slaps his face and walks off angrily yelling "back off smootcher!"

my initial thought was obvious that the guys might have been watching that movie and that scene made them laugh and the song was born, but then i remembered that pure guava came out in 1992 so...

are joel and Ethan cohen huge ween fans or is this just a ridiculous coincidence?

I had a dream last night where Ween announced another tour for the 12 Golden Country Greats anniversary and there was a third Ween brother named Bean Ween which was just a single baked bean.

Anyways before they went on tour Deaner ate a bowl of beans and accidentally ate Bean Ween with it and Gener saw and freaked out and Deaner just looked at him with a beany smile and said "I'm so hungry I could eat Bean Ween" and Gene got so angry that the band broke up again and they cancelled the tour

Was messing around on Spotify and found a playlist I made a few years back, a real attempt to rank my top 20 favorite Ween songs. I already want to swap a few songs around, but I wondered what the community might think.

Just feel like there is enough discussion of shows it would warrant a setlist bot that replies with a setlist from Brownbase when a date is mentioned. r/gratefuldead is a good example of this working well. It would be so convenient to get an instant setlist when a date is posted instead of having to go over to Brownbase. Not that that's so hard, but it would make mobile life easier.

I was curious which songs from the 14 additional ones being added are completely unheard. I know so long Jerry, I got no dark side, and a few others have been out in the world for awhile, but which ones/are there any that haven't been heard at all yet?

I've seen the boys 11 times over the years but hearing Cornbread Red in Atlanta a few years ago was quite the treat. I know there's more rare songs out there and I'd love to hear yours.
