I think I found my dress

I tried on so many dresses today. I loved some at the first shop but I was really wanting something unique and embroidered. Didn’t think I could afford it until they had this amazing dress at a resale shop. I’m so excited. I think this is the one!

My wedding Dress

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my wedding dress. It was custom made (There was a design I loved and wanted some aspects of), I did not have a fitting…None at all, so the measurements had to be correct the first time. It was made remotely so the designer and I never met in person but we worked well together and the dress fit me like a GLOVE❤️

I picked out everything for it that is; Material, general design but the designer also had major input.

Hope you guys like the dress and it can be an inspo for other brides.

Does the top of my dress look okay?

I had my dress altered to take the top in to look more snatched, and I’m a little concerned that it looks too tight at the waist? My maid of honor (sister) and friends have assured me it doesn’t look too tight and that before it was too loose (second pic). I think I naturally have a very short torso so the basque waist doesn’t sit as flat as it does on model photos of the gown.

When wearing the dress my breathing isn’t restricted and it feels good when I sit down. I’m hoping to get a little reassurance, I think I’m just a little anxious about other people’s judgement at the wedding!

Torn between two!!

I am so torn!! I really love both of them, I’m curious what others think of the two. One is about a grand more than the other (maybe take a guess which one it is 👀)

Venue is michigan in mid September, outdoor ceremony and indoor (dark wood/candle lit) reception

First 5 are dress #1, remaining photos are #2

What do you do when you “like” your dress but don’t love it?

It’s a bit too late (and I’ve spent my budget) on my dress and alterations. I like it well enough but don’t love it. Do you just let it be and hope you look back and feel okay? Is it just overthinking in general? I’ve been looking on stillwhite to see if there’s anything that could be a backup for a decent price but nothing that wouldn’t break the bank or require alterations. Has anyone else gone through with just liking their dress and have a regret?

Obsessed with this whole look! Where to find this style dress and veil?

Located in USA, wedding in August of 2026. I have a dress but wanted a vintage look for a second look maybe. Budget … maybe a few thousand? I’m willing to pay for something as amazing as this!

Veil advice for my ceremony gown and potential second dress!

I am trying to pick out a veil for my ceremony, I was thinking a juliet cap veil, but this blusher veil with the lace trim looked so pretty with the gown! What do you guys think? However I do think this one is too white for the ivory of the gown and I need to keep looking for an ivory colored veil in the same style, any Etsy recommendations?

I also found a dress I really liked as a second dress, it is super comfortable and stretchy so it would be a great option for dancing and relaxing at the party after wearing a gigantic structured ballgown. (I am not wearing a corset in the second dress, and it does bunch around the waist because it is a size 40 and I am a size 30). Not sure about the band, I do not like it without it, but I feel like the band might be a little too wide and large, would love some other ideas to create a similar feel. Maybe just a slimmed down version?

Dress regret

I genuinely detest wedding dresses and made a valiant effort to find something white that felt appropriate without feeling bridal in the traditional sense. After extensive searching online I finally settled on this one, it was actually my first in-person try-on. The thought of going to a million other places felt so exhausting and terrifying given I was a little heavier here as well. Now I’m hit with a wave of second-guessing, wondering if I should have made more of an effort and visited more places before committing. The budget constraint was real, I refused to spend more than $1,500-2,000 on a dress I was never going to be emotionally attached to anyway, but with the wedding two months out I’m starting to spiral a little. Maybe I shouldn’t have done the v neck. Should it have been a column, strapless dress instead. I’m getting married in grass and so the shoes I really wanted won’t work. I love the idea of a veil but I’m worried it might be too much given the cape carries the drama. I’m all over the place and would love thoughts :(

Off-the-shoulder straps or no?

Got my dress, final/post-alterations. Not a fan of the way my armpit area looks, but everyone said it looks great. Then my mom sent an “enhanced” picture (😐), which added off-the-shoulder straps. I went back-and-forth with this before…my fiancé was a fan of no straps, now I’m back to feeling unsure because maybe it would hide the area I’m feeling self conscious about? Thoughts??

I said yes!

I found my dress after only going to 2 shops. It’s off the rack and I took it home the next day. I keep getting inundated with online ads for other dresses and different silhouettes and I’m worried I made too quick of a decision! I do lean towards a more classic, timeless style, but I’m worried my dress may be giving off more of traditional vibe than I intended, maybe it’s the pleats in the front? I do love it though. Sincerely, a second guessing bride!

Azazie

Have this dress coming from Azazie for my wedding.. I don’t know how to style it!! What veil, shoes, and / or accessories would you guys recommend?

I have black hair as well that I think I’m going to leave down & curl!

Please help me decide, I have only few hours to pick only one

I feel that 1st one is more elegant and top is shining , second one isn’t shining at all, but I like the lace

But I feel more thin in second one so I am torn

Material in second one is chiffron so it is more thin, and material in first one is muslin

99% set on this dress, next steps!

What do we think? I found this 1930's satin dress on Etsy and had to try it in person. It will need altering to fit me but I'm very happy with it! It feels like me and I just picked a summer date so it can handle any weather.

Now, I'm thinking about how to fill it out for a full bridal feel. I want to wear brown suede Mary Jane heels I already have. I attached a few photos of accessory ideas.

- I'm thinking of buying satin gloves and hemming a V on my hand so they are "fingerless". I've seen this style on 1930s-40s long sleeve dresses and I think it would feel more formal for the ceremony.

-I want a long dramatic veil, but don't know if tulle or lace would look better. Thinking finger or floor length. Cathedral if I'm feeling crazy.

- I want to wear a vintage inspired headpiece, either something beaded or floral to be a statement among all the kind of "plain" satin I've got going.

Any more tips to make it feel fully bridal and less school dance? Thanks!!

Help finding a dress for civil wedding in a month!

Hi all,

I'm getting married in just over a month, I have my dress for the Saturday ceremony but I'm still desperately looking for my dress for the city hall.

The budget is limited (up to £200) because I'll only be wearing it for about one hour. But I'd love to be able to wear it again Saturday night once I'm tired of being in a big dress.

So I'm basically looking for a short-ish white dress, flowy, with either straps or halter neck, plunge or v neck. Something simple but cute, and different from my wedding gown which is floorlength, sleeveless and embroidered.

I've exhausted all the brands I can think of (from H&M, ASOS, etc. to bridal brands) and I can't find anything. I'm in the UK but will get married in France. I don't mind ordering online and trying things on at home.

If anyone has any ideas where I can find that, that would be very helpful! Send pics if you have one in mind!

Thank youuuu!

I’ve tried on a few wedding gowns and they all look good in photos, but none of them feel right when I move or walk. Is this normal or am I overthinking it?

I went for my second round of bridal trials last weekend. The gowns looked amazing in the mirror and even better in photos—like exactly what I had saved on Pinterest.

But the moment I started walking, sitting, or even turning… something felt off. One dress was too stiff, another felt heavy after just a few minutes and one needed constant adjusting at the top.

Everyone around me kept saying “this is the one,” but I just couldn’t imagine wearing any of them for hours without feeling uncomfortable or distracted.

Now I’m confused—if it looks perfect but doesn’t feel right, am I expecting too much?

Which detachable sleeves look best?

hi! my wedding is in the fall at a castle in ireland, so i’m looking to add a sleeve to my dress.

#1 is whimsical and billowy, which is what i was looking for initially

#2 is more classic (and is the sleeve that is made by the designer for this dress) which i was surprised to also really like

no wrong answers! :)
