2 Temecula school trustees criticized for comments about water polo players in swimwear briefs

My question would be is how do these board members know what's on the porn sites they compare this to to be able to make that judgment? Hmmm

Dear,
As long-time national team members, current European and three-time Olympic champions, we believe it is necessary to announce the latest events in our Association.

The new president of the Association, Slobodan Soro, has repeatedly tried to discredit and belittle all our successes in the last few years through his statements.
Our gold medals were not in the least a reflection of current inspiration, as Slobodan Soro states, but of years of great sacrifices, training, togetherness and struggle.

Also, we would like to remind the public that a few players from the current team of the national team have already been exposed to unsportsmanlike actions by Slobodan Sor and his team of people in VK Novi Beograd, from the ban on training, expulsion from the club, dissatisfaction with playing for the national team, etc. We believe that even then all those actions were done in order to harm our national team, our community and to prevent the further progress of Serbian representative water polo.

Our team, as the most trophy-winning national team of Serbia, deserves a president of the Association worthy of everything we fought for all these years, someone who protects our interests, advocates for us, values everything won and encourages further winning trophies.

We are proud of everything we achieved with the cap of Serbia - every game, every victory, but also every difficult moment that made us stronger as a team. As the current European and three-time Olympic champions, we believe that we have clearly shown who we are and what we represent with our results.

The last ten years of water polo in Serbia undoubtedly represent one of the most successful periods in the history of our sport.

Throughout our career, we have been guided by the principles of respect, dignity and fair play. We showed that respect to everyone, including Slobodan Soro, today's president of the Association, even in the period when he played for the Brazilian national team and played against Serbia in the biggest competitions.

We are witnesses that even then he made maximum efforts to stop the path of the Serbian national team towards the greatest successes, but also that he did not succeed in this - which is confirmed by the results we achieved together to the joy of our entire nation.

After much thought and mutual discussions, we made a unanimous decision to withdraw from playing for the Serbian water polo team as long as Slobodan Soro and his team of people are at its head.

This decision was very difficult, because playing for the national team has always been the greatest honor and privilege and the dream of every young athlete. |again, we believe that it is necessary that we personally raise our voice against all those who want to discredit and destroy the hard-won successes of the water polo national team for the sake of their personal interests.

Such persons must not be at the head of the most trophy-laden national team in Serbia!

We appeal for the public support of former and current athletes, people from the world of water polo, and all those who care that the water polo association does not fall into the hands of those who, out of their personal dissatisfaction and whim, want to devalue the past and destroy the future of our most trophy sport

Players of national team:

Captain Nikola Jakšić, Radoslav Filipović, Dušan Mandić, Strahinja Rašović, Sava Ranđelović, Đorđe Lazić, Radomir Drašović, Nemanja Vico, Nikola Dedović, Petar Jakšić, Viktor Rašović

Team training trips

Hello,

I am a parent for a small girls water polo team. I wanted to help arrange a team training trip to Europe next summer. We have done one before to Italy with Azitalia and are leaning towards doing that again but I wanted to see what else is out there. One girl has done Sibenik as well and liked that. Other thoughts are BIWPA or Budapest. Thanks for any advice!

Waterpolo might be the most in interesting sport I've ever watched. Like a mix of ports all in one.

What do you mean a sport being played in water with a ball? Man, I've never been this hooked on something in my life. I'm not gonna lie, it seems like a mixture of chaotic brilliance where someone took swimming, basketball, rugby and a bit of wrestling, threw them in a pool.

I have the most respect for waterpolo players because I would have failed at swimming already. They would pick me drowning after two seconds hahaha. These are some of the most talented people in the sport if I'm being entirely honest. Insane athleticism from the player who might look like they are casually floating but in real sense are working harder than most players who play on land.

USC finally got it done after two years of heartbreak

USC lost in the quarterfinals two years ago and then lost in the championship last year. eFlt like they couldn't get over the hump. This year they beat Ucla in the semis and then took down Cal in the final. Anna reed in goal had a career high saves. Emily Ausmus won tournament mvp as a sophomore. Casey moon finally gets his first title in his second season. USC has won at least one national title every year since 2021.

Hey, Im in high school and on my swim and waterpolo team. Sometimes my coach will get in the water with us during practice. He gets shirtless and everything and there are both females and males on my team. Just yesterday he got in again and went in from of my friend (female) while she was doing a leg exercise and looked under the water (no goggles on).

I personally think it’s kind of creepy but I want another opinion. Is this allowed?

Three days ago, it happened. No big fuss—Filipovic went out the way he always handled things, quietly and on his own terms.

He helped the Los Angeles Athletic Club win the US National League title, taking on the Olympic Club in a tense penalty shootout. Four goals in regulation, then he stepped up and nailed the winning penalty in the sixth round. Right there on the pool deck, he called it: he was done. “This was my very last game in my career. I didn’t want to announce anything because whenever I did, something unexpected happened. I got the signal, and that was it. Last shot, last goal.”

That’s how you close out a career.

Now let’s really look at what he did over 23 years. Two Olympic golds, two bronzes, two World Championship titles, six European Championship titles, twelve World League trophies, two World Cups, and more than a thousand career goals. Named LEN’s Best European Male Water Polo Player five times—a record nobody’s touched. He started for Partizan’s senior team at just 13 and kept scoring clutch goals and winning championships at 38. That’s not just greatness. That’s something else.

The crazy thing is, he didn’t rack all that up on some powerhouse team with the same comfortable setup. He played for Partizan, Pro Recco, Radnički, Szolnok, Olympiacos, Novi Beograd, and Los Angeles. No matter where he went—different countries, different teammates, different styles—he found a way to win.

“I don’t miss the goals, the titles… because I won everything. But these friendships, that’s what I’ll miss.”

So, let’s be honest—is there even a legit second place in the water polo GOAT discussion? And can anyone ever close the gap, or are we staring at the unreachable ceiling of greatness in this sport?

Their team’s crumbling hard, it’s really sad to see

Translated through chat:

Dear Sir/Madam,

As long-time national team players, current European champions, and three-time Olympic champions, we believe it is necessary to speak out regarding the latest developments in our Federation.

The new Federation president, Slobodan Soro, has on multiple occasions, through his statements, attempted to discredit and diminish all of our achievements from recent years.

Our gold medals were by no means the result of momentary inspiration, as Slobodan Soro claims, but rather the product of years of sacrifice, training, unity, and struggle.

We would also like to remind the public that several players from the current national team roster had already been subjected to unsportsmanlike actions by Slobodan Soro and his associates at VK Novi Beograd, including bans from training, expulsion from the club, preventing players from representing the national team, and more. We believe that even then, all of these actions were carried out with the intention of harming our national team, undermining our unity, and preventing the further progress of Serbian national water polo.

As the most decorated national team in Serbia, our team deserves a Federation president worthy of everything we have fought for over the years — someone who will defend our interests, advocate for us, value all that has been achieved, and encourage the continued pursuit of trophies.

After much thought and many discussions among ourselves, we unanimously decided to withdraw from playing for the Serbian national water polo team for as long as Slobodan Soro and his group remain in charge.

This decision was extremely difficult because representing the national team has always been the greatest honor and privilege for us, and the dream of every young athlete.

Nevertheless, we believe it is necessary for us personally to raise our voices against all those who want to discredit and destroy the hard-earned success of the national water polo team for their own personal interests.

Such people must not lead the most decorated national team in Serbia.

that USC vs Cal final was way too close for my heart

just watched the replay from La Jolla and my god what a game. USC barely held on 10-9. Cal was the number four seed and nearly took the whole thing. Ausmus was the tournament mvp with like 21 points total which is insane. Anna reed in goal had a career high 14 saves including some ridiculous ones in the fourth. Cal averages like 14 goals a game and USC held them to 9 that's just good defense also Ausmus and Reed both made all tournament first team. Trojans had that heartbreak in the final two years ago so glad they finally got it done. eight titles now for USC. Also this keeps their streak alive of winning at least one national title every year since 2021.

We've had a handful of tight games recently. Defense has been the backbone, but our shooting consistency is still all over the place. Curious what's been the biggest difference-maker for others this season ; fitness levels, communication on court, or tactical adjustments?

I cannot really bend my wrist, like in the picture. Only up to the black line. For example, I cannot do pushups normally, I have to do it with fists.

Started practicing waterpolo at 10 years old. From around 11 years old until 17 i was practicing waterpolo almost every single day. I played as a goalkeeper for one of the best youth teams in Serbia. Sometimes cap number 13, sometimes number 1. Many times my hand got smashed in between the goal frame and the ball. Many times i had my wrist bent awkwardly while trying to save the goal. But I suspect this is actually from holding the ball? My teammates that I asked about this don't have this issue.

Did anyone have something like this? Am i tripping if i think this is because of waterpolo?
