I wanted to post some information on one of the political candidates that was recently interviewed on Hasan’s broadcast. This candidate does not take any PAC money, so it’s all hands on deck!

Perfect weather for a 2 day trip to the Catskills this week to see Kaaterskill Falls, Inspiration Point, Lake Minnewaska, and Awosting falls. Nice to see all the blooms on the trees, first beautiful butterfly of the season, and lots of green ferns and moss. Waterfalls were raging and the crowds were light everywhere. Lake Minnewaska was filled with thousands of salamanders swimming around the crystal clear water. Things are definitely a few weeks ahead than here in Central New York so it was a nice glimpse at spring ahead
Hmmn. Seems to me that grocery prices are way up since Biden left. Hmmn. Tariffs?
Had the opportunity to join a local hiking club and hike around Moss, Bubb and Sis lakes this morning. Three lakes in one hike!!! What a beautiful place to be. I will definitely go back this summer.

Hi, I am exhausted from the last few years and finally booked a vacation. It needed to be driving distance from New Jersey area, dog friendly, and not require me to do any cooking. I landed on Scribners, and I have a 4 or 5 day stay booked for next month.
I am a single young-ish (late 20s, so I think I’m young but my nieces don’t) woman and I chose this location mostly so I could enjoy some quiet time with a book and take my dog on nice walks. Neither one of us are big hikers or adventurers (mostly because my dog is one of those small white fluffy ones) but I can get a backpack to carry her in if there’s a particular hike that is a must-do in the area.
I honestly was not planning much in terms of preparation. I haven’t looked up things to do in the area, nor mapped out an itinerary. I went to undergrad in upstate NY (finger lakes area) so I am not unfamiliar to the point that I don’t know how to dress or anything, but now I am curious if there is anything I should know about the area around Scribners or anything I must see when I am there? I’d love any tips or recommendations, or things to stay away from!
I booked this trip a bit impulsively, so I am also open to hearing from anyone about whether this is worthwhile to go to Scribners alone and for that long of a stay. I haven’t taken a vacation since before law school, and now my dog is a senior so it’s limited my options quite a bit. I want this to be a good trip for her too, to relax and get attention and lots of time outside.
Anyone have any experience with or referrals for a broker that led to a great deal for you on a car lease? I do not need advice on how to negotiate a car lease. I just don't have the time to do it in the coming months unfortunately and would love to outsource to a trusted broker, if i can find one. Thanks.
Im looking for a part time job that can match up to my schedule. Ive checked on indeed and stuff but haven’t found any so Im asking people on here. Im looking for a job that will let me work Friday,Saturday,Sunday,Monday and the rest off. Ofc ill come in if needed on any day. But I’m the oldest of my siblings and still need to watch them and bring them to school so those days are the best for me to work. Oh and i am 18 years old not in school
does anyone have a referral for a reasonably priced lawn care...(primarily for leaf removal) for the lake george/glens falls/ queensbury area?
Sharing an update on efforts to introduce a statewide open movie caption bill in New York State. NYC already has a law, but this would expand it statewide.
HLAA-NYS has been in contact with the legislature and was told in March that multiple Senators had expressed interest in sponsoring the 2026 bill, and that a lead sponsor would likely be determined soon probably before the end of March.
The message below is from Jerry Bergman, Director of the Advocacy Committee for the Hearing Loss Association of New York State:
Friends,
For over three months and counting, the New York State Legislature has failed to assign a lead Senate sponsor to the Open Movie Caption Bill. It’s pretty outrageous that cinema chains are allowed to continue to discriminate against deaf and hard of hearing moviegoers by making them obtain closed caption devices when they could easily and at no cost provide a few open captioned movie showtimes.
But here’s a bit of good news: On April 6, Virginia Governor Spanberger signed OCAP bill HB 602 into law, to take effect on July 1 and make Virginia the 6th jurisdiction — following Hawaii, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Washington State and New York City — to require cinemas to give equal treatment to deaf and hard of hearing people.
If you live in New York State and care about this failure of our lawmakers to do the right thing, please call and write to your elected state senator and demand that the legislature act.
Jerry Bergman,
Director, Advocacy Committee
Hearing Loss Association of New York State
I'm parting with my 4 seats for Apr 15: vs Dallas Stars. They are located in Section 104, Row 9. It’s tough to miss this one, but I want to ensure they go to someone who loves the team. Reach out if you're interested; proof of purchase is ready for your peace of mind.
