Why Spotify doesn’t pay artists from the ads they run between songs like other platforms do 🧐

I just realized Spotify doesn’t pay artists from the ads they run between songs like YouTube does and many more.

Artists only get paid per stream, not from the actual ad money Spotify makes off free listeners. Which is wild when you do the math.

Right now 1M Spotify streams usually makes around $3k–$5k before distro cuts. But if ad revenue was shared too, it could be way more.

Imagine Spotify makes around $10 per 1,000 ad impressions and a listener hears ads every few songs. Over 1M streams, that could easily add another $5k–$10k+ in ad revenue on top of stream payouts depending on listener activity.

So instead of making maybe $4k total from 1M streams, artists could potentially be making closer to $10k–$15k. Kinda crazy Spotify never talks about this.

you can do the math yourself https://streamsboost.com/?goto=calculator its kinda crazy
