12U hitter "not seeing the ball" — Jeff Frye (9-year MLB) gives a 90SecondClinic breakdown

Earlier this week u/Scottbiggie posted asking for swing advice for his kid — felt like he wasn't seeing the ball, looking for help diagnosing what was off.

We got Jeff Frye to break it down. Jeff played 9 years in the big leagues with the Rangers, Red Sox, Rockies, and Blue Jays, and is one of only 349 players in MLB history to hit for the cycle. He took the tape, watched it a few times, and recorded a 90-second breakdown calling out exactly what's happening in the swing and the specific work to do about it.

Jeff's profile if you want to send him your own tape: https://www.90secondclinic.com/coaches/jeff-frye

u/Scottbiggie — hope this gives you and your kid something concrete to take to the next practice session. We'd love your feedback if you had a moment to review and if you want to share a thank you video back to Jeff, let us know!

For everyone else: this is what we do at 90SecondClinic. You submit your tape with a specific question, a former pro breaks it down on video. Jeff is one of a growing list — a handful of MLB and softball pros taking submissions right now, with more being added.

We're also running a free promo right now where we're picking submissions to break down at no cost as we get the platform off the ground. If you want a shot at one: https://www.90secondclinic.com/fungo-promo-2026
