One of the few things I didn't like in TLD is how easy is it to hunt, and also how stupid animals are. I really hope they will make hunting more engaging and hard to pull off(maybe at least by adding bullet physics so it's harder to shoot). Animals don't see or hear anything even if you put maximum wildlife difficulty. They rarely run away enough to escape from you, and if they encounter some elevation they will start to run in circles.

One of the most engaging hunts I got in TLD is when I tried to hunt ptarmigans. They are very quick to react, very easy to scare off and they only return to the spot after 4 days, making hunting them somewhat hard to pull off.

Maybe you guys have something to say about animal AI and hunting overall? I would be glad to hear if someone have another opinion about this. Perhaps I'm just too focused on it, but that's because I always saw TLD as idea of a Men's apocalypse as return to nature and fight for place in ecosystem long lost before, and it being done so easily is.. Underwhelming.

I’m counting down to three games: First Light, GTA 6, and Blackfrost.

GTA 6 is a given, it’s going to be massive and I’ll be there day one. Same with First Light, I’m really curious to see how that turns out.

But if I’m being honest, Blackfrost is the one I’m most excited for.

The Long Dark is one of the few games that actually feels like a piece of art, not just something you play and move on from. The atmosphere, the pacing, the way it trusts the player, it just hits differently, and is a game I just constantly comeback to cos nothing else even comes close to it in the genre.

I’m excited to see how Hinterland keep evolving their vision. There’s something about the way they approach survival that hits.

Excited for all of them, but Blackfrost just feels personal.

Does anybody think we will get any info during June with all the normal game announcements? If it's coming this year it's definitely coming in November/December. But another trailer or some gameplay would be a dream.
