Currently in a 40hr long training course for my work. It's day 1 and the instructor has already mentioned how crazy California is compared to his newfound freedom in Florida. He bought himself his gun and his swamp land, and continues to make small passive aggressive jabs at Cali and I'm like... My guy, who did this to you?

The best part though was while talking about health/safety/cleanliness regulations (I work in commercial plumbing) he went on a side rant about how *almost all* regulations the government makes up are useless... Except for the ones that are important for our field.

Ok, so deregulation is great, but not for this very specific instance? In fact, why regulate anything? Lol.

This isn't really a one off interaction either. Some of the most fervent Maga types I've met down here come from NY, OR, CA... Florida is a promised land for the worst types of people from these places I guess.

How these people don't choke on their animal crackers more often is astounding to me.

Listening to yesterday’s trends. Wanted to make a quick comment-Dan Osborn is not the former football coach. Jack was probably thinking of Tom Osborn who also had a political career after he retired as the Husker Football God.

As someone who took a singular microbiology course, please do not listen to guests about any type of physical or food safety. Truly unhinged opinions lately that they DO NOT push back on at all. Butter should be refrigerated, it DOES spoil on the counter as do eggs in the US because they’re washed.

I remember a Chris crofton episode where he offered being a writing coach. Does anyone know his contact information? I don’t have other social media and would like to get in touch w him for his services.

While listening to the episode with Jacquis Neal and Matt Lieb the other day, I realized how much I appreciate all of the guest co-hosts and the frequent guests on the full episodes. TDZ has quite a large community of funny, interesting people who can fit in seamlessly when Jack or Miles is out. Shout out to all those folks for bringing some extra laughter and warmth to our lives when we all need it so much. They're a really wonderful crew

Jack keeps calling the Icon episodes “Iconograph” episodes. What exactly is an Iconograph in relation to the show? Wikipedia says it’s a type of poem so I’m confused as to how it relates to the show?

This isn’t a criticism, btw, I’m genuinely curious.
