on the packet provided it says we should get an email from identigo for fingerprinting by may first or before and i havent received it im trying to see if there are others who have?
p.s When and how are we supposed to schedule our drug tests
We are using the Dallas County Promise, which covers all tuition costs. We can’t afford housing. Is there any way to get housing assistance or scholarships? I’m afraid the scholarships would only go toward the tuition, which would only reduce the amount received from Dallas County Promise.
Pathophysiology in summer?
Anyone taking pathophysiology in the summer?
84 on TEAS, 4.0 GPA chances
I just took my TEAS and scored an 84 :/ Should I retake it or apply for Spring 2027, I am really bummed considering how much I studied. I plan to apply to Dallas.
has anyone had their twu email account disabled before?? I’m trying to get my EAQs done but I literally can’t access canvas outlook etc.
Hi everyone! I was recently accepted into Texas Woman’s University’s SLP Graduate Program (Distance Healthcare Venue) for Summer 2026 and wanted to see if anyone else here will be joining the same cohort. 🙌🏻
I’d love to connect with others in the program and start building a support group early on. If you’ve already been accepted or are planning to attend, feel free to comment or message me!
Also, if anyone is currently in or has completed the TWU distance healthcare track, I’d really appreciate any insight on:
• Sponsorship requirements - how many hours a week are supposed to be supervised? Are they direct or indirect supervision? Can supervision be virtual?
• balancing work (especially as an SLPA) with clinical hours
• what to expect during kickoff week
If you’re not in this exact cohort but have experience with TWU’s SLP program, I’d still love to hear your input!
Looking forward to connecting 😊📣
I’m an incoming freshman (Fall 2026) for the Denton campus and I just had some confusion regarding the roommate system on the Starrez portal.
Am I supposed to message someone first? Join a group? Add them to mine?
I did try messaging someone I was interested in but got no response which isn’t a problem but I’d rather cover all my bases than keep going in blind and ending up without a roomie I’d get along with.
Grad Tickets
Looking for last minute grad tickets for this friday if anyone has any extra!
Fall 26 nursing
hey guys I’m rlly nervous to share this online but I am searching for some clarification. I didnt pass patho this semester and I’m retaking it this upcoming summer semester in hopes of replacing my grade. twu nursing has a grade policy where nursing students can only fail 1 program course before getting kicked out the program and I’m wondering if that applies now or later. i was accepted to this upcoming fall program and I know patho is a nursing course, but since I didnt pass this semester does that count as my 1 fail even if nursing school starts in the fall?
Avoid Living at The Arch if You Can
I'm a junior who moved into The Arch through TWU's Housing due to changing university plans late. I want to detail my experience living there.
When I moved in, the entire dishwasher was flooded with disgusting stagnant water with a putrid smell. The previous tenant of my unit owned a cat, and it showed. The toilet bowl was caked in cat litter that was dumped into the toilet and clearly never cleaned. Speaking of never cleaned, that was the gist of my unit in general. I would find random fingernails, a false nail, and eight thumbtacks littered throughout the carpet during my stay. It was obviously never vacuumed before my stay, with the cat and human hair everywhere. It was disgusting and I am lucky that I never stepped on one of the thumbtacks at least.
I swiftly put in a maintenance request for the dishwasher, and the maintenance man was relatively timely, and mostly fixed the dishwasher. But the dishwasher was protruding outward from an angle, and that was never fixed. And despite the smell being mostly corrected, throughout my stay the rancid smell would occasionally return coming from the garbage disposal. We would wash it out thoroughly, and the smell would go away for a few days, but would come back eventually. If you live here, expect to constantly put in maintenance requests, and expect mixed results on those. Only the bare minimum will be done, and if there is a possibility that they can go cheap, they will let you suffer.
I was without hot water for 2 weeks when my hot water heater broke, and The Arch wanted to only do minor repairs over this time period, with me having to put in a new maintenance request each time, and leaving right away before seeing if it actually fixed the problem. It took 4 maintenance requests until they finally accepted that the entire hot water heater was faulty and replaced the whole thing. I had to bathe with boiled water and a sponge before they replaced it, and was not given any compensation. I genuinely felt my self-esteem take a plunge during this time, having to live beneath what I would consider bare minimum living.
The valet trash is also a problem, because The Arch's management does not enforce rules as much as they should. People are supposed to leave their trash bag in the designated trash cans for valet pick up, but tenants generally do not follow the rules. Outside the apartments it can stink of garbage, and there is a multitude of stains all over the concrete from leaking trash bags. The tenants do not respect the rules, because The Arch does not enforce much except towing apparently. Living here will often feel trashy, both literally and figuratively.
I cleaned up as much as I could when I left my unit, because I do not wish the person who takes over my previous unit to deal with what I did. I am baffled that my previous tenant did not clean up after herself, and neither did The Arch or TWU (who is directly renting the units to students who move in via TWU Housing) before my move-in back in January. If you are considering The Arch, I suggest you consider my words if you have an alternative available.
I will say if you are out of options, it is doable to live here. If you are concerned about transportation, the TWU van (yes it's a van, not a bus) is serviceable and reliable, but it is quite cramped.
Unfortunately, the nearby Redpoint is also run by the Scion Group, ostensibly with similar management, so I am not sure if it is really a good alternative.
tl;dr stuff breaks a lot and is not maintained well, students and management bad at cleaning in-between tenants, apartment management does not enforce rules and lets tenants leave exposed, stinking and leaking trash bags and other junk in front of apartments with no rule enforcement. Living here is doable but it is quite frankly bad for what you pay for, at least for what you pay directly to TWU if you live here via TWU Housing.
Housing application question
Im a transferring student (junior) and I was wondering if I apply through the housing application, will it help me apply for the off- campus partnered with TWU? like the arch and redpoint? or do I have to submit an applications to these apartments directly?
thx
Application advice
hi everyone! I am current high school school student and plan to graduate a year ahead (May 2027). I know applications for admissions and scholarships open up in July, however since I am still classed as class of 2028 I won’t have any rankings till August.
I was wondering for input if I should apply in July without rankings or wait till August with rankings and how either options would affect my chances for scholarships. I have a 4.8 so I was hoping to get some sort of scholarship opportunities. Additionally, I don’t think this matters any, but I am currently enrolled in TWU for dual credit so I won’t need to pay an undergraduate application fee again and already have a pioneer portal account, a TWU ID card, and things like that. Thank you so much!!
twu or unt
hi everyone! im heavily considering TWU for the fall semester as a freshman (might transfer if it’s not for me) and i am having so much trouble choosing between twu and unt. they both have their pros and cons and i would love to gain input on TWU.
a little about me is that i intend to major in public health and absolutely want to get as involved as possible to make the most out of my college experience. i love any sort of school spirit, however, im not a party person at all ! (i do love going out though with the right people if that makes sense)
any information about TWU would be SO helpful! (anything regarding The public health program, social life + clubs, on-campus housing, denton, campus, dining halls, etc.) AND study abroad programs too! (a literal dream)
Thank you so much! :)
federal work-study program part-time job
do any of y’all know if this is real or not?
Texas Woman's Nursing Program Spring 2027
Hi! This is my first post ever, so I’m hoping I can get some help!!!
I’m planning to apply to the TWU nursing program for Spring 2027. I believe I missed the Fall 2026 deadline, but I’ve already finished all my prerequisites and have been accepted to the school. I’m also planning to take the TEAS next month.
I’m super nervous and honestly not really sure who to ask for help or advice. Does anyone have any tips for the application process, TEAS studying, or just nursing school in general? Please help a girl out! Can't sleep thinking about the whole progress :,)
