Yall - a series of “coolest things ever” happened to me and I had to share.

I work in production and was lucky enough to be backstage during the Meters Saenger show when Susan and Derek were hanging out/ sitting in.

I was chilling back there and happened to be next to Derek. I leaned over to him and casually said “Yall should bust out Sahib Teri Bandi tomorrow during the set”

He responded enthusiastically and said “Right on man now you’re talkin! Maybe I’ll sprinkle it in there for you somewhere”

Fast forward to the set at Jazz Fest and he FUCKIN DID IT. A little tease just for yours truly. 2 decades of Derek fandom absolutely made forever.

Still walking on a cloud!

Working on a short video about guitarists with signature guitars who have played entirely different guitars (that seems like too much "guitar" in one sentence but alright) and I cannot find a single image of Derek playing anything but either an SG, A LP, or an ES-335.

We honor the King of Zambi and guiding force to Derek, Warren, immy, Oteil and so many others n the ninth anniversary of his passing.

Hey all. I am wondering what the big TTB fans like in terms of like top 5-10 live shows? I am personally into The Black Crowes so I like it heavy but I also really love a good Dylan cover if it's done right. I love Revelator most of all the TTB albums. I love when Derek cuts loose like that Ohio jam from The Beacon Theatre March 21 of this year. I dont love the long noodle-y jams. Would love your thoughts. Happy to buy from Nugs.com

Is the main guitar solo on Devil Be Gone performed by Susan? It sounds different from the solos on the other tracks and it doesn't sound like Derek's style.

Any insights on where Derek, Susan, Kebbi or others might turn up for a sit in this evening after they wrap up the opening slot for the Eagles?
