Would using abandoned malls be a viable option for data centers, instead of using farmland or historical sites?

It just seems like a more reasonable alternative than developing tearing up habitats or places with historical relevance. The land has already been paved over and is pretty big, and the only other suggestion I've heard is turning it into apartments. But I also don't know all of the details regarding data centers, so maybe I'm naive.

How To Access A Dead Videogame?

I'm not much of a tech wizz so i would like to know if it were possible to play a game which servers were shutdown years back. I have the APK file of the entire game and it runs but won't boot up since the company's servers are down. It says that the network cannot connect due to this. Is there any way to bypass the network authorization since i have the APK and the game is technically on it?

Hi, I'm currently using DropBox, but would rather not have a subscription monthly & transfer all my photos & videos on to a harddrive.

I need to advice and help regarding the process. I attempted with my old pixel phone & it was a nightmare. It would only allow me transfer one photo at any given time, so I just went cloud storage in the end.

I now own a Samsung A56, what's my best option for the cable and Hard Drive. I dont need huge storage, probably 1TB.

Is there a way I can select multiple photos at a time to transfer or move them all in one go?

Thank you for anyone's help.

Hello! This is my first time posting here if anything about this post is not allowed please let me know.

I am on the way to purchasing my first home, and my girlfriend and I would like to install a couple security cameras and possible a doorbell camera. The thing is, I don't like that these cameras can/are sometimes used by law enforcement to surveille neighborhoods, or possibly accessible to others on the internet.

This might not be possible, but I wanted to ask if there are any security cams/doorbell cams that I can monitor while I am at work, but that are somehow not going to be used by law enforcement/would-be internet hackers? Or that are highly inconvenient for them to gain access to?

I know it's kind of an odd question, thank you in advance.

ETA - These are the cameras my girlfriend has purchased, and I am trying to decide if there are better/more trustworthy alternatives when it comes to the topics discussed in my post.

Student here and MS Office is out of the picture financially right now. My tablet came with WPS Office preinstalled and I've been using it for basic document and spreadsheet work but I want to start properly learning presentation software since it's a skill I'm going to need for academic work and eventually professionally.

The question I'm sitting with is whether learning on WPS Office Presentation is a good foundation or whether I'm picking up habits and workflows that won't transfer cleanly when I eventually move to PowerPoint in a professional environment. The last thing I want is to spend months building presentation skills on a tool that turns out to be different enough from PowerPoint that I essentially have to start over.

A few things I'm specifically trying to understand. How close is the WPS Presentation interface and workflow to PowerPoint, are the core concepts like slide layouts, master slides, transitions, animations, and design themes handled in a way that's consistent enough with PowerPoint that the skills transfer directly?

Found this thing in a card game box I found at a recycling spot, it fit in the box like it had a spot but I find it weird. Want to know if it’s potentially dangerous or if I should just toss it

The game was exploding kittens

I’ve been seeing a huge surge in people ditching their smartphones for "dumbphones" or carrying around dedicated MP3 players and point and shoot cameras again. The whole "analog revival" thing was cool as a niche aesthetic, but it feels like it's becoming a survival tactic against the constant AI noise and notification fatigue we're all dealing with lately. I tried going gray scale on my phone last week to make it less addictive, but I still found myself scrolling through a black and white feed for three hours. It’s like my brain is wired to find the dopamine even when I take away the shiny parts. I want to be more present, but I also need my GPS and my banking apps to, you know, exist in the modern world. I’m really trying to find a balance that doesn’t involve me becoming a total hermit.

Hi! I own a Nintendo Switch and a gaming laptop and I'm thinking about getting a controller that can be used on both. I used to get by with joy-cons and regular keyboard+mouse combo, but I tried a PS controller at my friend's and it was way more convenient. I am now thinking of killing two birds with one stone and getting a normal controller that could work on everything (I found a couple of good options, like this one on Esperanze that works on Switch, PC and mobile). However, I'm worried that it might not perform as well as Nintendo's own controller would, for example. But at the same time, I've heard that Switch controllers don't work well on PC, so I don't even know which option would be better.

If you use an off-brand controller (especially for Switch), please share your experience. Does it lag, does it connect easily, do you use it with other devices?

Hey, I've used my Wii again after a while and tried to connect my second Wii Remote, but unfortunately the lights are flashing strangely, as you can see in the video. I’ve never seen this happen with a Wii Remote before, and I can’t find a solution or any information about it online. I took the Wiimote apart and cleaned it, but the problem persists. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? The first Wiimote works perfectly.
