Do the small metal “pipes” entering the top and bottom of this electrical outlet box mean that the box is likely grounded?

If I don’t connect the green screw to a ground (because there is not grounding wire, my house was built in the 1950s) is that a safety/fire hazard? Should I remove the green screw altogether?
Mostly wondering if electric current will be flowing through the green wire and if that could pose some sort of risk if it’s not connected to a ground wire.

Hello! This is my first time posting here if anything about this post is not allowed please let me know.
I am on the way to purchasing my first home, and my girlfriend and I would like to install a couple security cameras and possible a doorbell camera. The thing is, I don't like that these cameras can/are sometimes used by law enforcement to surveille neighborhoods, or possibly accessible to others on the internet.
This might not be possible, but I wanted to ask if there are any security cams/doorbell cams that I can monitor while I am at work, but that are somehow not going to be used by law enforcement/would-be internet hackers? Or that are highly inconvenient for them to gain access to?
I know it's kind of an odd question, thank you in advance.
ETA - These are the cameras my girlfriend has purchased, and I am trying to decide if there are better/more trustworthy alternatives when it comes to the topics discussed in my post.
