r/tazarotene

Hi! I started Taz in late February and I’ve had to skip multiple days because of the dryness, then I got sick so I skipped a whole week in March. Once my skin stops peeling it does seem glowier, but I still have large pores on my nose and forehead, some texture and dark spots, but my rosacea seems to be looking a little better. My thing is, I start to see a little bit of progress and then I stop the Taz, and my skin starts looking kind of dull again. My goal (in time) is to be able to go without foundation and just use a lighter tinted moisturizer, but I have a long way to go before that is going to happen. Taz is just kind of discouraging so far, but maybe I just expect too much too soon? Or just be more consistent? What are your experiences and timelines like for when you finally started seeing significant improvements?

I'm in the U.S. and last month started Tazarotene with Glenmark's 0.1 cream ordered from Skinorac. I love the results but not the chemical smell.

I'd love to hear what everyone uses, finds best, and where you all buy! TIA!

I wasn’t sure as tret 0.025 is working ok for me no trouble, but my skin needs more, I’ve ordered picspot as I had run out and also tazret 0.05 gel
How do i transition?

I have sensitive skin, acne, and rosacea. I’ve tried all sorts of things… adapalene, aa, bo and ivermectin.
About 2.5 months ago, I slowly started using tazarotene 0.05% gel. Right now I use it one day, then take two days off during the week. I use aa on the evenings when I’m not using tazarotene. Sometimes i use Clindamycin in the morning on pimples. I focus a lot on hydration. I had a big purge that is now improving—but my chin is still a problem.
Should I increase tazarotene to every other day, or switch to 0.1% and then space it out again? I don’t have redness or peeling anymore, but this chin…

Is taz 0.05 enough for acne? Rosacea is surprisingly better.

Hello everyone

Ihave suffered from sebbhoreic dermatitis since I was a teenager. I can manage it by scrupulously using only safe products. Nevertheless, I started using Tretinoin to manage skin aging, and I would like to use a cream to support the skin barrier but it seams that every product has fatty acids and oil. Do you have any Safe recommendations?

My routine is simple :
AM :
Only water in the morning
Geek and gorgeous hydratation station
SPF

PM :
Geek and gorgeous cleanser
Geek and gorgeous sérum and hydratation
Tret (tazret gel)
