Band #8: Hallstatt 3 pattern

Just finished band #8: Hallstatt 3 pattern

Since I was struggling with getting neat edges at the turns with the previous bands I decided to turn the edge tablets always forwards (as you can see on picture #4: left is the start where I flipped the whole row back/forwards, right is the ending of the band with the edge tablets turned always forwards

I have to say this pattern became instantly a favourite, despite all the chaos when I forgot at which row I was.

Where there's a will

I recently came across a video by IMakeEverything on YouTube about tablet weaving and have fallen down the rabbit hole. On the way down I found a tutorial on how to make an inkle loom out of a cardboard box and dowels and there was nothing stoping me at that point. It's already kind of falling apart (I didn't use a very sturdy box and miscut several times), so I am enlisting my partner to make me something more sturdy.

I already have several fiber art hobbies so I've been really trying to only use materials I have on hand this year to shrink my stash. I'm just thrilled I found another art form to explore without spending a whole bunch of money (yet).

Question about durability

Would a tablet woven band be strong enough to hold the weight of multiple hand sewn bells? I'm planning on experimenting and creating a pair of boot straps for renaissance faires that have small bells attached to them, but most of the straps I see are either made of chainmail or crochet. My current thread options are 8/2 Carpet warp thread, Peaches and Creme yarn, or size 10 crochet thread.
