Does anyone know what this sound is/ where it's coming from?

It mainly happens when I go over a bump or just casual driving.

Getting ready to buy my first Suzuki Swift

Hi all, I'm looking at potentially buying this 2019 Suzuki Swift with 80k miles (~130000km) on the clock. I bought a complete history check of the vehicle and it's passed all MOTs with no advisories ever. I just wanted to ask if there is anything I should be looking out for when viewing the car or any advice when it comes to owning one.

Any advice/input is appreciated!

Edited to add: the '1 item to note' on the history check is that the car has had a private number plate in the past.

Hello! I have a 2011 automatic Suzuki Swift with keyless entry, and today I got locked out of it. I took out the physical key and unlocked the driver’s door, but the car won’t start. The “key” warning light stays on in the dashboard and it keeps beeping. The other doors won’t unlock using the button on the driver’s door, and they also won’t unlock when pressing the button on the key fob.
I changed the battery in the key fob — still not working.
I held the key against the start button — at some point the green indicator appears showing it should start, but it still won’t.
I tried jump-starting it — still nothing.
What could it be? I’ve never had problems with it before.

How far can I go with the fuel light on?

I was out for a spin tonight, in my 2016 Swift Sport, and I noticed the fuel light come on. So I slowed down and drove at a sensible pace to the petrol station.

But it got me wondering, how far would she go with the fuel light on. Does anyone know?

I have been taught by many lovely humans the basics of mechanics and a motor head, but still learning.

About to service my car, previous service I replaced the drive belt + pulleys, engine mount, rocket cover gasket, oil, filters etc .

Head gasket leak from previous owners who changed the spark plugs. After checking the plugs, the wells had slight oil in them.

I’ll be changing the spark plugs myself this service. I know how to get to them etc. But it’s my first time… I don’t want to fuck up my car.

Any suggestions/advice on how to remove the oil ,if any leaks have occurred (should be fine) And how not to destroy my car by making one wrong step/crank.

Thanks!! :)

(Edit: Suzuki Swift, 2005, 1.5/4 cylinder manual. Aka shit box)

I bought a used Suzuki swift in April 2025

In November the car broke down while driving to work and resulted in me replacing the clutch for £700

Last week driving to work it the car broke down again and recovery mechanic said it was the clutch and I had to pay another £120 in tows

I have been back and forth arguing with the garage who did the repair but they won’t accept liability but I can either only be a error in them installing the clutch or a underlying problem with the car it’s surely impossible to burn out a new clutch in less than 5 months

What are my options I can’t afford another £700 to get a new clutch replacement. The garage seemed shady as they said they fixed the clutch for me but demanded another £700 as if they were trying to cover their error.

What are my options I simply can’t afford another repair and don’t feel it’s fair I have to

Has anyone been in a similar issue

Can I order a clutch kit myself and get a mechanic for an install only quote and are would these below work as a clutch kit?

- NAPA 3 piece clutch kit
- SACHS 3 piece clutch kit
