I don't know if I love snowboarding for the thrill of snowboarding or the thrill of the views.

Nothing more peaceful than being on the glacier at Blackcomb.

Tips on grabs during flips

Only my first attempt was filmed, but I managed to land it the next few tries. Then I tried to add a tail grab (my go to grab), but I couldnt seem to connect. Any general tips on grabbing during flips?

European Highways - Help a beginner out!

TL;DR: Just got back from my first trip (Pila, Italy). Loved the town and the prices, but the slopes were too narrow/flat for a beginner (bar the one section in the pic). Looking for European resort recs with massive, wide-open gentle runs where I can actually practice turning without fearing for my life.

The Good:

I just wrapped up my first-ever trip to Pila in February. There was so much to love:

Vibe: Aosta is a beautiful, quaint town with cheap food and $5 beers.

Logistics: The cable car from town meant cheap housing and no annoying drag lifts.

Budget: Lift passes and rentals didn't break the bank.

The Bad (The "Slope" Problem):

While the town was a 10/10, the riding was a struggle. As a total beginner, I found the terrain really limiting. Most of the "blue" runs felt incredibly narrow or had long flat sections.

As a new rider, flats are the enemy—I either had to pick up way more speed than I was comfortable with or end up unstrapping and pushing. I spent most of the trip feeling cramped.

What I’m looking for next year:

I’m hooked on boarding, but I need a resort that builds confidence. I’m looking for 3 or 4 "Highway" runs:

Wide AF: I want space to traverse the mountain and practice my S-turns without worrying about a "bottleneck" of people flying past me.

Consistent Pitch: Gentle slopes that stay wide from top to bottom.

No "Catwalks": I want to avoid those narrow ledges that drop off into nothingness.

No drag lifts!

Cloudy to bluebird day in Rusutsu – crew riding & a few untracked lines

OC video – shot and edited by our crew.

Last month we had a surprisingly bad to good day at Rusutsu, Hokkaido. It started cloudy, then slowly turned into a bluebird afternoon with some soft snow and a few untracked patches in the trees and sidecountry. We ended up going to all the planned side countries we saw in Google map with our crew, mostly just following the terrain and seeing where the snow looked good.

We’re just regular snowboarders, so this is more of a “real day riding” edit than anything super clean or technical. Here’s the run:

👉 [From Cloudy to Bluebird! 🌤 Epic Rusutsu Tree Runs & Hidden Stashes | Japan Snowboarding 2026‑03‑07](https://youtu.be/GAbi1017K\_8?si=UOtdywVuXdjU7JZc)

A few things I’d love to hear opinions on:

• How do you guys usually decide where to ride in tree zones or sidecountry when the snow’s soft?

• When you first arrive at Rusutsu or other Hokkaido resorts, what’s your strategy for finding untracked snow before the crowds show up?

• Any tips for camera / 360 setup if you’re riding in deep powder and just want to capture the day rather than a “perfect” edit?

Would really appreciate any advice or stories from people who’ve ridden Rusutsu or other Japanese resorts in similar conditions.

Found snowboard in random garage, see no info on it nowhere

So I found this random snowboard in a garage, and the only known piece of information I found on Reddit is from 5 years ago here, and it isn't really the same board or all that useful I don't think. Does anyone know anything about it? That'd be greatly appreciated! (My apologies if this is a dumb post)
