European Highways - Help a beginner out!

European Highways - Help a beginner out!

TL;DR: Just got back from my first trip (Pila, Italy). Loved the town and the prices, but the slopes were too narrow/flat for a beginner (bar the one section in the pic). Looking for European resort recs with massive, wide-open gentle runs where I can actually practice turning without fearing for my life.

The Good:

I just wrapped up my first-ever trip to Pila in February. There was so much to love:

Vibe: Aosta is a beautiful, quaint town with cheap food and $5 beers.

Logistics: The cable car from town meant cheap housing and no annoying drag lifts.

Budget: Lift passes and rentals didn't break the bank.

The Bad (The "Slope" Problem):

While the town was a 10/10, the riding was a struggle. As a total beginner, I found the terrain really limiting. Most of the "blue" runs felt incredibly narrow or had long flat sections.

As a new rider, flats are the enemy—I either had to pick up way more speed than I was comfortable with or end up unstrapping and pushing. I spent most of the trip feeling cramped.

What I’m looking for next year:

I’m hooked on boarding, but I need a resort that builds confidence. I’m looking for 3 or 4 "Highway" runs:

Wide AF: I want space to traverse the mountain and practice my S-turns without worrying about a "bottleneck" of people flying past me.

Consistent Pitch: Gentle slopes that stay wide from top to bottom.

No "Catwalks": I want to avoid those narrow ledges that drop off into nothingness.

No drag lifts!
