How to do damn smudging in sketchbook

Please tell me brushes to fill color and blend . My drawing is stuck like this now for a while now. It's been 2 months since I started digital art on sketchbook. Before that wasted 6 months on ibispaint

Some thoughts

I would like to ask if anybody has any useful feedback or ideas when dealing with ink and ballpoint pen

I’ve been fairly surprised on how gently you have to push the pen when drawing. Just when I thought I was pushing as lightly as I could, I have found an even lighter pressure yields better more subtle results.

Speaking of subtle, I find my self drawing less lines, particularly less bold lines, and instead drawing shadows, which as they deepen, form lines.

Also, it’s been really useful to sometimes draw the negative space as then try to draw everything surrounding the negative space, with the negative space shape the thing I’m trying to capture. when I do this, it feels like I’m putting everything else in better perspective.

Websites with black models for figure practice

Hello, I’m looking for websites where I can practice drawing from black models. The websites I know of (line-of-action.com) rarely use black or poc models and wanted to know if there were any known alternatives.

Here’s an older sketch so I can keep this post up :)

Thanks 🙏🏽

Shook

It's easy to be biased coz you spend hours on your art. I have to improve my proportions for sure

A day off from walking

Since we walked nearly 20k steps four days in a row and, honestly, aren't really used to that kind of thing, we thought we’d take a rest day. So, early in the morning, I did some drawing for about an hour, then went back to sleep until we decided around 1 p.m. to grab some food and head over to the second Warhammer store. There, I picked up a pack of grass and a pack of mushrooms for my boyfriend’s crafting, and a Goblin mini for my dad so he could paint it too. Other than that, we just sat in the park and watched the doggos and the fountains. And since we took the tram there and back, I wanted to sketch that as well :) Honestly, public transit in Prague was sooo convenient—with our Deutsche Bahn in Germany, we can only dream of that 😭
