Random pictures of Nina, my sim crush for the last decades.

Guys if there was ever a time to view my build posts it is now - i feel like this is my magnum opus (although this entire pleasantview is). it took me 2 days to build it but granted I took inspo from jessicapieyt of her sims 4 country club but if you go look at hers and mine they're very different.

It includes a wedding venue, a restaurant, bar (i imagine all the men go get drinks and smoke cigars there after playing golf), pool area, golf course, sauna and jacuzzi spa, massage room (with some elixer of life), another gentlemen's lounge with pool and poker tables, and a nice spacious gym.

Dina and Nina are going to be here 24/7

Also I included a pic of my Pleasantview map so far. I honestly only have maybe 2 more house streets to do (i've already done 4 if you include goth house as it's own street) and some community lots (town area, park, and i'm thinking about making a school because i want to make a football pitch, but the school would be super simple as it's not very useful gameplay wise. I do want to rebuild the Goth house as well but that is not a priority for me at all as the one I've built is not bad either.

I can't wait to be done and share this save file with the world

I started by creating my own sims, but eventually I wanted to get a feel for the premade townies. At first, I tried the Broke household and had an absolute blast! These sims are keeping me busy, and I love it. All the little details blow me away - I can't believe how much love and care went into this game. The sims feel much more real, and the interactions available are amazing.

Now that fall is over, I switched to the Calientes and married Dina to Mortimer. The wedding was absolutely beautiful - oh, how I missed the cutscenes! I used to play TS1 and 2 as a kid, but I barely remember anything, but this does feel very nostalgic.

I can't see myself going back to TS4 anytime soon, as it really is a terrible downgrade in comparison.

The only downside is that I can't get reshade to work - it crashes my game every single time. I tried a lot of the tutorials I found on reddit and that one RPC mod, but nothing helped.

However, that is a small price to pay for a truly amazing game!

Usually when a sim dies death will take them and leave immediately. Even when it’s the last sim on the lot. For the first time, for some reason, death needed to use the toilet first. His hula zombies kept dancing while he did. Also, there was a downstairs toilet right there. He went all the way upstairs.

I was waiting for the last sim on the lot to die and when he finally did death made sure to take the scenic route and take his time.

This rlly made me laugh.

This was new to me as I don't normally have pleasure sims and I also don't often let 'em have breakdowns

I wanted to share how my Pleasantview looks almost 20 years into the future and maybe share some of my gameplay rules in the process :)

1. Broke
Beau Broke and Lucy Burb just graduated from Sim State University and moved into an apartment together. They started dating in college and are now engaged. They also adopted a cute little kitten. Beau joined the Natural Science career, and Lucy joined Medicine. Beau’s hobby is making music, and Lucy’s likes writing. I’m sure her first novel will be successful :)

2. Burb
Jennifer and John just welcomed their second daughter, Jill, into the world. Lucy works in Law, and John is in Politics - he is a member of the city council together with Mary-Sue. I play wants-based and let my sims progress in their careers only if they want a promotion or to gain the skills required for it. Otherwise, I assume they are comfortable where they are, so that is why they haven’t progressed very far in their careers. I find it more interesting this way. They have a cat named Bonkers.

3. Dreamer
Darren married Brandi. I think they are perfect for each other :) Darren continues to earn money as a freelance artist. Brandi joined an Education career for a while, but she got fired. They have a daughter, Bonnie, and a cute teenage boy, Stephan - Brandi’s third son with Skip, whom she is pregnant with at the beginning of the game. Stephan’s hobby is dancing, and Bonnie likes tinkering. The Dreamers adopted two dogs.

4. Pleasant
Daniel and Mary-Sue have gotten significantly older. Daniel was sleeping on the couch for a while, but they managed to fix their marriage over time. Daniel reached the top of the Sports career, has now retired, and enjoys repairing old cars. Mary-Sue did not advance beyond City Council, but she seems content with that. She does pottery as a hobby. Angela moved in after graduation, married Dustin, and they have their first child - a son named Skip. So we have again Skip Broke in Pleasantview. Angela works in a Gamer career and likes gardening, while Dustin works in Business and likes playing pinball. They also have a dog Daisy that they took in from Mary-Sue’s parents.

5. Dreamer
Lilith and Dirk also married after graduation. Together, they had just enough money to buy a small house to start their family life. They have an adorable daughter whom Dirk named after his mother - Darleen. Dirk now works as a paralegal, and Lilith is following in her dad’s footsteps. In their free time, Lilith likes to play bass, and Dirk plays darts. They also took in a dog that belonged to Lucy's grandparents.

6. Graves
This is practically a Goth household :) This is Cassandra’s family. Her husband, Victor Graves, works in the Paranormal career. He came to Pleasantview to investigate Bella’s disappearance and ended up falling in love with her daughter. Victor likes searching for new planets and constellations, and Cassandra creates robots in her free time. They are both quite high in their careers. Cassandra and Victor have two sons: the older, Adrian, and the younger, Blake. Adrian likes tinkering, just like his mom :) They have a beautiful cat named Shelley.

7. Goth
Alexander studied at Sim State University together with Beau and Lucy. He and Cassandra received some money from Mortimer while he was still alive, and he bought a house, took his dog Bram, and started working in the Architecture career.

8. Goth
This is the family that currently resides in the Goth manor. The children in the photo are Mortimer’s and Dina’s twins - Elizabeth and Dorian Goth. Mortimer died of old age before they even learned how to talk, and Dina died after seeing a ghost when the twins were still children. The young handsome man in the photo with them is their stepfather, Dominique Morau - Dina’s second husband. He comes from old money and is very high up in the Business career. Plot twist! Alexander stayed with the Goths for a day to pick up his dog, and now Dominique has a crush on him... Oh! And Dorian is dating Stephan Broke.

9. Caliente
This is a local star family :) Nina married a young, handsome actor, Rico Blaze, who moved into an apartment complex near their family condo. She is doing very well in a Dance career, and Rico is also a very prominent actor. He likes playing guitar and doing ballet as hobbies. Their daughter, Lola, is also successful in the Entertainment career, but she enjoys sports like her mom, so maybe she will become a sports star in the future. Lola is dating Adrian Graves. The little bundle of joy in Nina’s arms is their son, Ryan. He has to become a famous musician - I don’t think Rico will give him any choice XD

Mirror didn't break her face and voice is not "adult male"-like, which is good.

I built this house for Angela and Dustin (they graduated and got engaged in my Pleasantview). I loved Don's season 1 house in Mad Men and wanted to recreate it. It's not an exact copy, I wanted the layout to be way smaller than the original. It's a little bit laggy because there's a lot of items on this lot which is mainly the plants a placed and idk if anyone knows if there's a way to get rid of that purple lighting you get on lots with a lot of items on it idk if it's my lighting mod that's causing this or just a thing that's happens in the game.

I blame it all on Ottomas blood. Some of them seriously have really bad genes. These are Samantha's grandkids btw -_-

I changed Bella Goth’s story in my Pleasantview a bit. Instead of being abducted by aliens, she had an affair with the gardener because Mortimer was too busy to give her any attention. He found out and divorced her, leaving her with nothing. So now she has to start over in a small house on the outskirts of town.

Since she’s a Romance Sim, I’m planning to put her in the Slacker career and have her spend her free time dating different Sims. I’m also kinda tempted to have her get with Daniel Pleasant instead of Kaylynn, so she can have a happy family sim life.

Am I the only one who hates decorating bathrooms in The Sims 2? I can never get them to look right.
