What just happened on Hopkins

I was just next to Zelicks and this dude in a pickup peeled out fast as hell and hooked on to hopkins going east on the wrong side of the road. Shocked no one got hit, traffic was pretty heavy. Seen at least 10 cops with sirens on going that direction… anyone got the scoop?

Police near children park

Like the tag says. There seems to be an event at the children’s park today? Maybe it’s the river portion idk. But there were a lot of cops. Does anyone know what happened?

Turn on headlights in fog

Please, for the love of god, please turn on your headlights or parking lights when driving. Your headlights aren’t your high beams and having your headlights (or parking lights) on makes you visible to everyone in this fog.

I was right, the butterfly's are being removed

The murals in the street near the antique store are being removed. Get a picture of them before they are removed.

edit; also butterflies not butterfly's. I am exhausted.

Moving here this summer… things to do?

Hey! I’m moving to San Marcos this summer to start grad school (i’ll be 22) and i’m looking for activities and things to do to both help keep me entertained and possibly make some friends! I can’t add 2 flairs but I’m also interested in some reccs for bars that aren’t super college-y but have a younger adult crowd. I really love bar trivia!! I’m into photography, art, museums, and just having a space to relax as i’m coming from New Orleans which is a completely different vibe. Thanks!!

Good buildings you can get on top of easily/legally?

Hi all! I’m about to do a photoshoot with my fiancé and i’m looking for buildings like a free parking garage or anything, maybe an apartment complex w rooftop that i somehow don’t need a keycard for?😂 etc. looking for something that ideally you can see some of the square or campus in the background as i think it would make a cool pic at night. Thanks in advance!

Searching for an Old Play Place

Hello! I recently had a memory pop up of a place I used to go to when I was younger, but I’m running into a research blank because this place existed before the Internet was how it is today. It would’ve been open between the years 2000-2004, and was an indoor children’s play place (think Discovery Zone/ZDT’s/Mt. Playmore/Jumpy Place). I believe it was on the Premium Outlets side of the Outlet mall. I also recall a volcano foam pit room, and it might’ve been named something like Razzmatazz.

Any leads are appreciated, I’m just curious! Thank you! Next time I’m in town since I’m not local anymore, I’m planning to try and sift through newspaper archives at the library.

Best stores for buying bison meat?

I want to eat more food products that are native to North America and I’m trying to transition from beef products to bison. HEB only carries ground bison and the Kyle Sprouts is very expensive. Are there any other grocery stores that carry a good, expansive and inexpensive variety of bison products?

County Judge uses AI image on his FB post about combating data centers

Note the spelling error on the emblem. Just another reminder this guy is all about a press release yet fails to create a policy to make change happen. Need further evidence? Watch Commissioner’s Court.

Remember the run off election is coming.

Spanish lessons?

Hi friends, local so sabo here wanting to take in person Spanish lessons. I took standard classes in high school, which was roughly a decade ago. I have very minimal knowledge but want to educate myself so that I can have conversations with people in my life. I’m preferring face to face as I learn better that way. Curious if anyone can point me in a direction that would help me with this journey.
