A Few More Adds
VinylCon is in B’more for the second time. Here are a few grabs I’m definitely happy with.

I’m still not over getting to finally meet Kehlani recently at the release event for her self-titled album in her home city of Oakland! She was so sweet and signed all the records I brought, including ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t,’ which celebrates its 6th anniversary today! 💙
Shown here are some of my favorite pressings from her discography, most of which she signed that day! ✨

I haven’t stopped playing that Solange record, I really really like the sound. Had no idea about her being Beyoncé’s sister till reading the liner notes. SZA album is fucking great, knew I’d love it. Trina & Tamara is from 1999, I dug it out of the stacks…and holy cow it’s good stuff, every song.

So, my daughter had a life threatening medical emergency on 4/07, and was sent to Charleston, hours away from where she lives. I left my home on 4/08 (in another State), to be by her bedside and to advocate for her care.
After RSD(which I refuse to support until they truly start pressing highly sought after R&B albums).
I found a local record store and was able to purchase a few albums.
I’m still here. Hopefully my albums haven’t warped before I can get them home!
I have the Jade OG pressing, but I figured I’d play this new one to protect the old from wear? 😂
I’m too tickled about that India!
I probably could’ve left Chic where I found it 😂😂
Arrived today; a few days earlier than estimated. I was able to get this sealed copy for $25.00. 🍀
Just spotted a VG+ copy of Soul For Real’s first album Candy Rain from 1995. It’s in Jelly Records in Clapton, London. I’ll pass but it seems like a great find for someone else, so I thought I’d give a heads up and hope a fellow Redditor goes and snaps up this rare LP with my love and kind regards.
It was £60 which seems like a good price; it’s sold for a lot more than that on Discogs and there’s only one copy on sale there currently for $200.
I may be dating myself a little with this question:
I have hundreds of CDs and find myself buying things on vinyl that I already have on CD. Please tell me I’m not the only one that does this? Also, if you do the same thing, why are we like this?!? 🫠🤣
For example: I own “Brown Sugar” by D’Angelo on vinyl and CD (amongst several others). Why do we need both?
For me, I like the nostalgia and the sound of vinyl. What’s your reasoning?
Grateful I was finally able to witness Rochelle’s music live at the rescheduled show in Minneapolis the other week. She was gracious enough to stay after, sign records and snap some pics with folks.
Just seems like a good day to clean
Frankie’s “My Heart Belongs To You” album is one of the most underrated 90’s R&B albums. I’m lucky to have it on CD, and his single “If I Had You” on vinyl.
