Grateful I was finally able to witness Rochelle’s music live at the rescheduled show in Minneapolis the other week. She was gracious enough to stay after, sign records and snap some pics with folks.
To those that are interested in waiting after the show for a chance to meet Ash (or any artist for that matter), go for it. If they’re not comfortable with it, they will make it explicit or simply not come out.
Please don’t listen to the weird, parasocial chucklefucks who think they’re in a position to speak for Ash. They’re not and their opinions don’t matter.
Similar to stage-dooring at Broadway shows or theatrical productions, the appropriate and designated place to wait after concerts is at the barricade placed by the venue. This is where artists generously will come out and sign items, take pics, etc if they want.
