Im looking for a fic I read in 2020/2021. Rey was at an orphanage or something along those lines, maybe a religious private school. Kylo was the lead singer in a rock band and met Rey outside of one of his shows. Rey ends up working at a concert venue after they break up. It was a little darker of a fic with kylo battling drug addiction and it ends with him getting out of rehab and putting out his own music.

I feel like it was called born to be wild or something along those lines?

I'm currently re-reading The Ride by QueenOfCarrotFlowers and forgot how much I LOVED this particular prompt from @/galacticidiots. I know of The Ride and AmyBeeGood's Body of Work, but are there any other fics out there?

It was set in the ’50s–’60s, unfinished. Rey and Ben are still in high school. Rey didn’t really like Ben at first, but they eventually became best friends and formed a group with Phasma and Hux (who are siblings). They’re all rich except Rey. At the end, Leia offers to pay for Rey’s college.

Skip to 30:45. Additionally, Isaac revealed in this interview that the "Somehow Palpatine Returned" line was filmed during reshoots and was not in the original cut of the film.

Hello! I hope you all can help me find a Reylo fic I used to read on AO3. I can't find it for the life of me and I can't remember the name. I tried tag searches, but despite exhaustive trawling, it's not showing up.

What I remember:

Rey is a late-presenting omega. When the story starts she's somewhere in her twenties but is going through a late omega-puberty. She hasn't had her first heat, but she has symptoms like getting slick at importune times. One of the big ones is she gets an oral fixation because her teeth hurt/are hardening. And the best way to soothe it is by biting Ben's gland. So she develops a habit of basically dragging him into dark corners (his office) and chewing on it a bit. Otherwise she goes through tons of junk food.

Ben owns a bar. Rey works there. So does... Baz? They're friends with Armitage, Rose, Finn and such. Armitage is a snooty omega? I think it's set in Chicago. They're a strong friend group; they have game nights and they go to some kind of concert in the park together.

Rey and Ben sort of had a moment once before she presented, and he turned her down because she was a beta and he didn't want to hurt her, because he's an alpha. Now that she's an omega that barrier is gone but they're both skittish of changing their relationship when they've settled into being best friends.

There's also a bit where there's command porn? And Ben's done it? It's audio recordings of alphas for omegas.

By the end of the story they get together and spend her heat together and they bite each other properly. She fixes up his apartment.

It was medium length, more plot than smut but there was smut. It would have been tagged as explicit.

If anyone knows what this fic is or has a copy of it (I worry it's no longer online), I'd love to read it again!

I recently took down a Reylo WIP fic to turn it into an original story. I wanted to continue the story but felt as though I should finish it as its own story since I planned on self-publishing as its own story anyway.

The wait is officially over. 🏴‍☠️🌊 ​I’m juggling about a million projects right now, and I almost hit pause on this one.

But a random pirate video crossed my feed, and the urge to finish Elena and Kai’s story became a literal physical need.

​The Pirate Princess is officially live! 👑⚓️ I tried to take a break from this project to focus on my screenplay, but the pirate life chose me. 🏴‍☠️✨ ​ For my long-time readers, you know the roots of this story. Seeing this Reylo-inspired journey turn into a published reality is a dream.

After I manage some stuff, I'll start formatting for paperback and hardcover for Amazon publishing and update you guys when you can grab a physical copy for my paperback and or hardcover girlies.

The story follows Elena Locke (originally Rey), a young woman living a quiet life on the plains with her guardian, Jackson.

Her world is shattered when she is abducted by Kai (originally Kylo), a formidable pirate captain who believes she is the secret heir to the legendary Flynt Locke and the only one capable of unlocking a hidden treasure vault.

​ Elena is taken aboard Kai's ship. Despite the circumstances, a dark and magnetic tension develops between them. Elena discovers her true lineage as a Locke and learns that her parents didn't simply abandon her; they were casualties of a war and a secret heritage. Kai, though her captor, proves to be a protective and "courteously" dark figure, shielding her from rival pirate lords like Lux (originally Hux).

It's a pirate version of the sequels in one book.
