Need help for a Power bank for Laptop for WFH setup

I've checked a few options and would appreciate expert opinions, note Anker is quite pricey these tend to be more affordable.

Laptop is HP EliteBook 1040 G4 typically uses a 65W or 90W USB-C AC adapter, works fine with a 35 watt charger as well.

Laptop power bank recommendations?

I need a power bank that has enough capacity to fully charge a laptop and can charge itself reasonably fast. My laptop can charge itself fully from 0 in about 90 minutes; why do power banks charge themselves so slow? Currently I have a 20000 mah power bank which only gives my laptop about 1/2 charge and takes FOUR hours to charge itself. It’s been really hard to find something that meets what I’m looking for. Is there anything out there that can fully charge a laptop and will charge itself in 2 hours or less?

What’s the best budget power bank for travel?

I recently started a new job and I spend 4 to 5 hrs for just commuting to and from work and also the job requires me to travel to different states for onsite work. So I am looking for a budget power bank that actually works and will last during commuting and the long travel hours. Been searching online but there are way too many options like Alibaba and it can be overwhelming.
Personally I need a reasonable sized power bank like a capacity of 10K mAh is the perfect middle ground to charge my phone twice to full charge before recharging the power bank and should be with a type C charging port of around 20W for fast charging or could also have in built cables to remove the hassle of carrying an extra cable and kinda help it look aesthetically pleasing. It should also be durable enough to survive being tossed in my backpack and be worth it price. So whats the best budget power bank I can get without paying for the logo?

Xiaomi 10000 mAh power bank issues

I’m not using my power bank as often as I used to. Nowadays I charge it fully, keep it unused for around a week, and then use it when needed. Earlier my 10,000mAh power bank could charge my phone almost twice, but now it barely charges it once and only up to around 40%.

Is this normal battery degradation from not using it regularly, or is the battery cooked?

Powerbank for festival and camping

Hi!
I’m looking for a power bank that will be fine for a week long camping at a festival. It does include flying, so it needs to be fine in Ryanair, KLM and Air France (not sure if airlines make a difference).

I have iPhone 17 Pro so needs to be good enough to support that too with a fairly quick charge as my current 20000mAh can’t handle that lol.

I am absolutely clueless.

Thank you!

Hello, so kind of late looking for this. Family have 14hr~ish international flight coming up this Sunday. I have kids and they are...probably going to get screen time at some point during the flight.

We'll be headed to a place that activates load sheading throughout the day but enough time in between to charge up electronics. The country uses 230v so a power bank that I can fill up via USB or just get an EU adapter with wall plug. The devices that we'll be taking with us would be x3 phones (x2 S24U & S10+) and a tablet maybe a laptop not sure yet.

What is something I can get that'll support all these and possibly charging some devices simultaneously at the same time?

Thank You

I'm a University researcher studying muscle behavior during walking. We will have EMGs stuck to people's legs to measure muscle activity, and we want to collect their data using an Intel NUC with a power bank in a small bag.

For this project, we need to somehow have an Intel NUC drawing power from a wall socket, set up our software and connect to devices, then to unplug it so the NUC can travel with a person in a small bag to collect the data. Crucially, the power being given to the NUC can't be interrupted during this transition. I want it to behave like a laptop being unplugged that continues to run on battery power. The NUC requires 140W. The images show a U Green charger we bought figuring it could fill this role, but it turns out that the 140W out is the only way to charge the device.

I assume the only way to do this is to have a power bank such as an Anker Solix, which has a 2-barrel universal input well as a 140W output. That device is bulkier than we would like, though. Before I buy one of those, can anyone clarify that the power will be continuous when the power bank is unplugged? Also, are there any less bulky options that would fill this role?

I’ve used a bunch of 10,000mAh power banks over the years, and most of them fall into the same category: decent capacity, but bulky enough that you don’t always want to carry them unless you really have to. Recently switched to the iniu p50, and the biggest difference for me has honestly been the size.

I always struggle with tech gadgets and power banks, I prefer carrying light and portability is a main factor, which was the main perspective I had while using the P50. Smaller size but the 10,000 mAh capacity is decent enough to charge my phone, airpods, and even my smart watch at times. Especially while I am outdoors. It's built for multiple devices.

Does size and portability matter when you choose a power bank? Would like to see what other users prefer.

10K, 45W, retractable cord

I heard a lot of good things about this charger as I intended to use it for traveling, but I wasn’t impressed w its charging capabilities.

When my cell was below 15 % I charged it to about 90%.

Afterwards, the power bank was left at only 40%. I thought it would have a lot more charges left in it.

Is there a better one out there under $75.00 ?

I will be travelling this weekend to Leh + Hanle for 7 days with my wife. Given the lack of electricity in remote areas, I might not be able to charge the powerbank. Hence need good recommendations.

Fyi - we have a pixel 7 and samsung flip 5

Fyi 2 - I looked at the callmate shotgun 23w 10,000mah -> it looked optimal for this use case but is out of stock or will be delivered too late for this trip.

Hey all, got a new power bank and it has this little bit in the back I can pull out, not sure what it’s for since the user manual doesn’t mention it?

Added a pic of it normal and opened

I feel a bit dumb because I bet it’s obvious

Hi, I’m looking to upgrade my Anker power bank and could use some advice.

I currently have the PowerCore 13000 (A1215). It’s lasted years, but it’s pretty slow to recharge and also charges my phone quite slowly now.

I mainly use it to charge my iPhone, and occasionally for my Apple Watch or AirPods when travelling.

I’m thinking of getting a 20,000mAh power bank, but I’m not sure what specs actually matter beyond capacity. For example:

  • What charging speed/output should I be looking for?
  • For models with built-in cables, do those cables tend to wear out or break over time?
  • Are there specific models people recommend?

I’d also prefer one with CCC certification logo, since I’ve transited through China before and might travel domestically there in the future.

So far I’ve been looking at:

  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 22.5W, built-in USB-C cable)
  • Anker Power Bank (20K, 87W, built-in USB-C cable)

Would appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!

Hey there, I tried searching around, but with a word like light, I get a lot of noise to filter through. And with modern search engines, I get a bunch of things that have nothing to do with what I searched for.

I'm a musician. I'll be driving my vw bus to a two day festival in playing, planning to camp in the bus instead of getting a hotel.

I'll need to charge my phone and run a laptop, but I'd also like a light for the evening.

I was looking at a 20Ah-ish Anker with a couple USB C and one USB A, but it doesn't have a light. I'm talking about just set it on the table like a lamp and plug in my laptop, etc.

Also going to Europe this fall and would like the peace of mind to know my family won't go dead while traveling.

Do you have any suggestions? Do you have an idea that I've missed?
