Should I trade my Black Wheels for Silver OEM GTS Wheels?

Thinking about trading my black wheels for silver GTS wheels.

The car is only a week old. It came this way off the lot — I didn’t special order it with black wheels — and I’m debating whether I should keep them or swap to silver.

Curious what others think. Should I leave it alone or trade for silver?

Valuing a “Personalized” 73 911T

With a heavy heart I’m considering parting with my 26 year owned 1973 911 T which has been “personalized”.

How does the group think I should value it? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

A few key changes include:

- a 2.9ltr w/ 195ft lbs and 220hp at the wheel (done by Automobile Associates in Canton,CT)

- RSR flywheel

- an LSD

- LEDs all around (very dark nights here)

- bare metal repaint (also done by Automobile Associates in Canton,CT)

- front oil cooler w/ brass piping

- PMB Perf AM-Calipers on original T struts

- redone interior

- + tons more you can see the overview list

992.1 Carrera - Cold Start with PSE - questions

Quick question as I can't seem to find an answer.

On a cold start for a 992.1 Carrera:

  1. Is it bad to cold start in sport mode with the PSE on? Is it better to let the engine warm up before kicking in sport mode?

  2. If yes to 1), is it ok to start with PSE on?

  3. I've heard even if you turn on PSE/Sport Mode on a cold start, the valves don't open until the engine gets warm. Is this true even if I get something like M-engineering's PSE valve mod, they won't fully open until the engine is warm?

Some 911's at the Festival Of Speed

Sorry about the late upload. I had over 95 photos to edit so I can post them on my Instagram. I had a fun time at Festival Of Speed and thought I would share my experience again like last time. Hope you all enjoy!

I drove the 991 C4S and it was incredible!

I drove the 991 C4S and it was incredible! Can’t believe the car is almost 13 years old. It was fast, beautiful, and most importantly sounded great! Last of the NA Carreras!

Opinions on changing wheel color

Hi, I would appreciate some help here. I have a GTS in GT Silver with all black wheels (shown in attached) and I have kind of grown to dislike the look. I know opinions are varied on this, but I am interested to hear some views on what is the best approach to changing these rims to silver. In particular (1) does anyone have a car with this look and can share a picture, (2) powder coat vs. full repaint, (3) what would be best, full silver or something more subdued (sorry, I don't know the technical names for the colors/finishes). Thanks in advance.

Porsche 911 Regret

I ordered a 911 carrera months ago but regret the color combo (aventurine green + bordeaux red). I feel like they aren’t the best when put together, but unfortunately it is too late to change it in the factory as production is completed. I want your opinion on what gloss or matte color to change it to (in third party garage ofc). Im thinking a wrap in matte black or matte grey.

This is your sign to take your Porsche to a track day hosted by your local PCA

I wanted to share my recent track experience with my local PCA. To show how amazing it can be, and you don't really need to build a race car for it. I drove 3+ hrs in my stock 911 with street tires, then did at least 100 laps over 3 days on the same tires before driving back home for another 3+ hrs. PCA events are much safer and not to mention you get amazing instructors.

This was my first ever track day with my car. Day 1 was an open track day (lap lab) offered by Chuckwalla a day before the 2-day HPDE event. I got at least 50-60 laps that day on my street tires. Day 2/3 was the HPDE event hosted by PCA SDR,

Day 1 - https://youtu.be/rCwA-tmigPI

Chuckwalla Raceway CCW

2026 Porsche 911 992.2 Carrera S stock

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3

Lap time: 2:05:96

Day 3 - https://youtu.be/tHtvY0vRz9E

Chuckwalla Raceway CCW

2026 Porsche 911 992.2 Carrera S stock

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3

Lap time: 2:03:98

Day 1 was solo vs Day 3 with a PCA instructor.

comparing Day 3 with Day 1, it was much smoother, I was in sync with the car instead of fighting it. My line was much better, which allowed me to accelerate sooner. Made a few mistakes that cost me time and yet I still set a new PR without even pushing my limits. Not to mention having a great instructor right next to me.

991.1 Turbo - Just installed H&R Springs, rear looks lower than expected?

Hi everyone,

I just lowered my 991.1 Turbo on H&R springs, but I can’t help noticing that the rear looks very low compared to all the photos I see online for H&R setups.

I am really confused and trying to figure out if this is how it should look or if there is something wrong with my setup.

A few specific questions:

  1. Is this a normal height for these springs, or does it look off?

  2. Is there a rear adjustment that the shop might have put at the lowest position?

Carwash upgraded my Targa 4 GTS to Targa GT 😀

Went into the local carwash with a Targa 4 GTS and came out with a Targa GT! Porsche hates this trick 😂

On a serious note, how do you all make sure that this doesn’t happen especially when the badge was reapplied after PPF?

Another beautiful weekend down here in Miami!

Took the 911 to get rollers by the cruise ships and we ended up at Wynwood for pictures. Pics taken with a Canon Rebel and an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
