Little tool makes Big difference

Find yourself one of these pliers and it will save your finger tips a whooooooooole lot!

Also, second attempt at this design and it looks way better being extra tight. My first attempt is in the left corner, and it’s very loose but still great.

What’s your favorite tool to use?

Id like to make a rope/chain that stretches out and goes back, like a spring or slinky... Anyways knot suggestions?

I want to make a rope to connect my knife to my pants. Like a wallet chain. But, I'd like to be able to use the knife without having to detach the rope. But I also dont want to have 3feet of rope hanging by my side.

What would y'all suggest to tie something that can be pulled and relax back to a shorter length?

Im thinking maybe basic cobra knots, but spaced out so there's a circle of cord in between each one.. 🤷

A custom Economy Indy in solid white. I like when I get the chance to make something familiar in a different color, this was a fun one

I wanted to try the Peak Design micro clutch without having to pay for something that I might not end up liking so I came up with this. Paracord and some spare peak design anchor parts I had lying around and to be honest I like it way more than what I was trying to replicate as this solution doesn’t cover the battery door!

It feels very secure in hand and I’ve now made one for all of my cameras. The anchor clip isn’t even required and in hindsight I could have excluded it.
The plate on the bottom is this part that I had sitting around spare. I just used some pliers to bend and snap the angle off of it to make the profile slimmer and drilled my own hole. I also replaced the fixture bolt with a slimmer option I also had on hand. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mr2qbAX I found that getting the connection point at the bottom of the camera to be as close as possible to the base of the hand made a big difference in how secure it felt in hand as there’s less strap to flip around. I assume this is why the Peak Design Micro Clutch covers the battery door.
If you need arca plate on the bottom this could be a better option for the mount plate. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqCdoFd

Edit: clutch, not clitch. Oh how I wish we could edit post titles…

This is Nugget. He recently went blind but that doesn’t stop him. I want to be able to still take him on hikes, but a leash/collar around his neck is not working. I got him a harness, but I need to be able to guide him efficiently without having to bend down to the harness (seeing eye human). My thought was to make a taller handle, and since paracord is stiff, I thought it would be the best material to use.
But I’ve never crafted anything with it. Does anyone have advice on the best braiding method for a project like that and also how would you attach it to the harness? TIA!

Zipper pull ideas

So my zipper pulls on my backpack are very jingly and I would like to quiet them a bit. These are about an inch to an inch and quarter long. Ive got some 3mm fluorescent orange paracord. most of what ive looked up is REPLACING the pull itself. Id rather wrap them but I wasnt sure what style of wrap to look up or even wear to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Newest EDC Addition

I’ve wanted one of these Vosteed Martens for awhile now and had a reseller reach out on BladeBinge trying to get a few of my listings and told him what I was looking for and it all worked out. Wanted to put a heftier lanyard on it since it’s a heavier knife. I think it turned out pretty nice. Not sure what the knot is on the YouTube tutorial the guy didn’t have a name for it at the time of filming.

Difficulty with 3 strand braid with micro-cord.

I'm trying to achieve a 3 strand(or color) braid with micro-cord. The problem is I keep getting slack between the cross overs. Kinda like the picture. But it needs to be tight and together. I've tied it off of course but doing it like that it slips further down. And if you try and tighten it or cinch it then it kinks or get messed up . And it's incredibly hard since I have bigger hands and the cord is so small and smooth so its slippery. Basically need a 3rd hand lol.

Alternatively I'm open to other weaves, I haven't been able to find another one that works, but it must be 3 color and round. Like a bigger rope, not flat like a cobra knot.

Hey gang, I've been thinking about making myself a bracelet and I had this idea to make this old dragon bracelet more comfortable by using some cord. But I'm very new to the hobby so I don't know what to do or what kind of knots I should use. I figured you guys could point me in the right direction.

If it helps the back of the dragon is totally hollow and there's no way to put cord through the body like you would a bead unless I can disassemble the whole thing.
