Underrated all-time Carolina Panther

This year we’re fortunate to have another Hall of Famer from the Carolina Panthers organization. I’m talking with My cousin about this. Who would you consider to be underrated in this organization or didn’t get a lot of love when he was here but was such a good player?

My pic was Mike Rucker, obviously pro bowler good player with Carolina but a little overshadow by Julius Pepper‘s and Kris Jenkins, but he was a dog back in the day.

Is Dan Morgan unsure about Bryce's future?

During an interview on the Rich Eisen show recently, Dan stated "In terms of a long term contract, we'll keep talking about it internally. We'll get it done at the right time, if we're going to do it". If we're going to do it? You can watch the interview here. The quote is around 11:15 into the video. https://youtu.be/LhknHk6vH_A?si=hbCBHBVzi1HnB8Ua

I'm not surprised by what he said. I'm surprised he said it publicly in an interview.

Who takes over at WR3?

John Metchie, Chris Brazzell, or Xavier Legette

Out of the 3 receivers there, who do you all feel will have the biggest impact on the season or have the most receiving yards?

Coker better be WR2

JC has shown up every time he gets an opportunity. It seems like with the big WR room right now, he’s not getting the WR2 nod from pundits. Maybe it’s just be but he’s proven himself and should definitely be undisputed wr2. Or am I crazy??

Wow, ok. I would say I feel bad for nuggets fans if it wasn't for the fact that I'm pretty sure half the voters were nuggets fans themselves. Not only one of the most unanimous votes in the history of R1M4ST, but the top comment had close to 500 upvotes. Absolute massacre. Top comment decides who's next.

Top 5 Rivalries?

What would yall have to say our rivals are? I had this discussion with a friend of mine who’s a Bucs fan and this is what I had to say.

1 Falcons- screw the dirty birds, they’re annoying, and delusional as hell. The close proximity definitely helps and rise up is so stupid.

2 The aints- just a bunch of annoying thugs looking to talk trash every chance they get, ever since Drew Brees they ain’t had any relevance (to be fair same with us with Cam), and they’re just plain out right dirty. Cam v Brees was huge. No love for them not one ounce.

3 Bucs- listen I ain’t ever hate the Bucs one day in my life, I have respect for that team and franchise bc they’re good with a shitty owner. All live for the Bucs, just a fun game to talk little trash.

This is where it gets hard

4 Seahawks- Here’s the reason why I say this. The teams played constantly in the 2010s and had several playoff battles. Cam Newton vs Legion of Boom, good fanbase vs a small gritty one, coast to coast battle.

5 maybe the Cards- this was tough and I’ll have some HM’s with no description that where close for me. The 2015 NFC Championship was huge in which they dominated that game, but the teams were constantly compared during Cam’s reign.

HM list
Broncos/Pats- this I will say is just Super Bowl hate so they couldn’t make it. That’s the only one I’ll put a description for

Eagles

Vikings

Bears

Cowgirls

Commanders

And Packers- this one could become a real rivalry, especially with the back to back in Lambeau Field. If the NFL would do this more often, I feel like we would gain more rivalries.

Bookies.com just released their Tailgate Behavior Index and the Pack came in at #1 with an 83.2/100 — the only fanbase to break 80. They scored everyone on stadium-area crime, visitor safety, tailgate culture, and hospitality, and we topped the league.

The article literally credits the publicly-owned model for the fan culture. Lambeau parking lot on a Sunday morning truly is something else. Brats, beers, and bringing visitors into your circle.

Detroit came in dead last at 22.9. Just saying. Go Pack Go.

(Almost) Giving away (2) 200 Level Corner Panthers PSLs. Any takers?

I’m asking $2,400 total for 2 PSLs in Section 253, Row 7, Seats 13 & 14. Saw two similar posts last week, and figured I'd join the party. Similar PSLs when purchased from the Panther’s cost $12,000 for the pair. The view is spectacular. I’ve included a screen grab from the Panther’s Digital Venue so you can see for yourself. Please do not reach out if you would be buying the PSLs to sell the tickets each week, we want them to go to someone actually planning on attending games.

If I can find a taker here on the Panther’s Subreddit I will donate $100 (and post receipt) to the Panther’s Keep Pounding Fund which helps support cancer research efforts. DM’s are open if anyone has questions!

Bryce Young - Completion Percentage while Not Pressured and Targeting Open Receivers

Since Bryce Young entered the league in 2023 there has been a great deal of discussion and debate every year since about under pressure throws and generally perceived lack of receiver separation.

I've used the NFL Pro+ Film Room metrics to analyze whether this has been misconstrued.

Let's break it down.

In the 2025 regular season Bryce Young completed 87.58% of his attempts to receivers while not under pressure and targeting receivers defined as open (3+ yards to nearest defender). This ranked 19th out of 45 qualified QBs. These 161 attempts amounted to 33.68% of all attempts, which ranked 23rd.

2025 Regular Season league average completion percentage on no pressure throws to open receivers was 86.78% and 34.58% of all attempts.

The scary thing is that the 2025 numbers are down from 2023, where he completed 90.06% (145 of 161) to open receivers while not pressured. This represented 30.55% of all attempts.

I broke down the Frank Reich era (weeks 1-11), where Andy Dalton brought down the average only completing 70% of his throws to open receivers while not pressured in Week 3 against Seattle.

In comparison these no pressure, open receiver attempts only represented 17.24% of Andy Dalton's 58 total attempted passes for the 2023 season.

Even with this lack of performance, QBs while Frank Reich was head coach completed 97 out of 108 passes (89.81%) which was 28.65% of the total attempted passes.

Another data point that stood out was week 4, where 59.38% of all attempts were to open receivers without pressure. Despite Bryce Young being sacked 5 times in the loss to Minnesota.

In weeks 12-18, the completion percentage dropped to 87.30%, but of total attempts this equated to 30.29% of all attempted passes.

If you were curious to 2024 Bryce Young's completion percentage to open receivers while not being pressured were very similar to 2025.

I'll be breaking down the 2025 regular season numbers for Bryce Young by receiver in my next post.

Stay tuned & KEEP POUNDING!

[Adam Schefter] Air miles each team will travel this season, via @billsperos:

Panthers have one of the hardest schedules this year.. but lowest miles to travel.

Does anyone think miles traveled impacts a team's record?
