Zoush BB Cream Review

Reddit is being an absolute pain, not letting me post the picture. Sharing it in comments.

Here's the written review after trying to post 05 freaking times!

Before boycott, my usual foundation was either Armani Luminous Silk or MAC. I shifted to Huda Beauty after boycott, and it's amazing.

For daily wear none of these options are affordable for me, as they are expensive. Huda Beauty Easy Blur costs a minimum of 14k. So while I love it, I can't use it as a daily wear foundation. I used to use Maybelline and mix it with moisturiser as my daily wear. But Maybelline is also in the boycott list.

So that's where Zoush BB Cream comes in.

I ordered it a few weeks ago after reading rave reviews and seeing some insta posts. Didn't have high hopes but very pleasantly surprised.

My most pressing concern was shade match, they have 4 shades only. I got the darkest, and while it might be very slightly darker on me, it is perfect enough to give the skin finish, and blends well with my neck, to the extent that I don't even have to apply anything on my neck, like at all!

For context my shades are as follows;

MAC - NC30

HB Easy Blur - Latte 300N

Don't remember by Maybelline Fit Me shade, either it was 125 or 128.

For Armani, the shade isn't applicable as I have tanned considerably since I used to wear Armani.

Next concern was blendability....if it sits on top of the skin, or actually blends and give the my skin but better look that a BB Cream should give. And as it can be seen in the pictures, it definitely blends well!

I didn't use any concealer under it today to be able to show the coverage in the pictures. I prefer sheer coverage so applied minimal amount and blended it in with a beauty blender. The amount seen in the picture is what I use for half my face. Sometimes add a bit more if the sponge drinks up too much of the product.

Another concern of mine was if it oxidises and becomes orange....happy to report that it doesn't oxidise at all!

I have combination skin.

Shade match - 9/10 (for me)

Shade range - 2/10 (anyone darker than me might not get a good shade match)

Consistency - light

Blendability - blends really well

Coverage - sheer to medium (buildable)

Value for money - 10/10

Overall highly recommended!

No filters or edits on the pictures. First three pictures have been taken in indirect sunlight (I just stood next to the window). The last two are with a regular white fluorescent room light.

I set my makeup with a setting powder, currently using SheGlam setting powder in the shade Translucent for daily use, and Huda Beauty Easy Bake in the shade Pound Cake for formal meetups etc.

I don't use any setting spray for daily use.

If anyone has recommendations for Pakistani setting powders and sprays, that will be awesome!

Need Recs

So my mom's above 50, and she wants to change all her makeup for new stuff that suits her skin.

As of right now, she only uses a moisturizer and likes a Golden Rose foundation.

She's planning on buying a Zero Makeup Palette (the one with foundation, blush, lip, etc) but I think it's too expensive of a purchase 🫠 so I'm trying to get her to use other products that might work better for her.

I want to suggest:

  1. a good retinol cream, perhaps. For wrinkles and under eye bags.

  2. A foundation that'll work with dry skin.

  3. An eyeliner/Kajal in brown that isn't a marker or liquid (because she used those and said they gave her a headache)

No powders, she likes dewy makeup.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Plus if you could let me know where you buy this stuff, that'll help a lot. (I usually just buy whatever's in store, but if I get recommendations, then I wanna buy them online)

Any tips and advice is welcome.

Is Zero Makeup worth investing in?

Have been eyeing this duo for a while now and wanted to ask if it’s worth the hype? And if anyone has gone to Nabila’s to get shade matched properly or did you eyeball your shade? Help a girly out! Thanks ❤️

Miss rose blush

I got this yesterday. I never thought I’d buy it but I did cause this was closest to the colour I wanted for an event . I never liked the packaging because you get very less product for the price. I used it once and it’s barely there(I just swatched it). I feel like it’s almost finished, already? I have to drag the applicator to get the product on the skin.

It has a very strong weird chemical smell. I have to blend it with a lil bit of force if I’m using my fingers, it’s barely there if you blend it with a sponge or brush.

I got it for rs 650, i feel like glamourous face liquid blush is greater for the price range and you get 12ml product(ive never tried it but I feel like it would be better)

Lastly I think for one event or for trying a new shade of blush this is great. The scent throws me off but it fades a little after a bit. It didn’t cause any acne or allergic reactions, considering my skin is really sensitive.

Beginner in makeup, need product + brand advice (with skin tone pic)

Hi everyone,

I’m completely new to makeup and honestly don’t know where to start. I recently bought a few products from an Instagram page, but I’m not sure if the issue is my skin or the product quality things just don’t sit right on my face.

From what I can tell, my skin tone looks medium to medium-warm (slightly golden/neutral undertone). I’ve attached pictures for better reference. My skin also has a bit of texture and uneven tone, so I’d prefer something that looks natural and smooth rather than heavy.

I’d really appreciate guidance on:

  1. What basic products I actually need as a beginner (like foundation, concealer, etc.)

  2. How to figure out my correct shade (I always get confused here)

  3. Affordable but good-quality brands (drugstore or mid-range)

  4. Whether I should avoid random Instagram makeup pages and stick to known brands

Also, if anyone has tips for prepping skin so makeup applies better, that would help a lot.

Thanks in advance!

Setting powder help for oily skin

Hi everyone, I have been searching for a good setting powder for a long time, but I have not been able to find the right match or something with good quality. I have heard about Airspun, but I am not sure which shade would suit my skin tone. Does it come in different shades? I also have extremely oily skin, especially in summer, my face gets oily within an hour. My shade foundation shade in Maybelline Fit Me is 128.

Also does setting powder actually work for oily skin?

How can I get a glowy base

Hii fellow Indian girly here!

I really want to know how Pakistani girls do their base makeup! I always see them on my Instagram feed looking super super glowy! I love that finish and it looks as if there’s almost no foundation on their face.

how do you manage that without powder? It looks as if there’s no powder but if you do use it then what’s the secret? 💖🫶🏻

Would love to get product recommendations as well! I currently alternate between the Kylie skin tint and huda foundation but once I set it, it just looks very matte.

Medora lipsticks

This is medora in black burn. It’s like a warm toned reddish brown. The undertones are a strong warm, earthy oranges and burnt sienna. I feel like this color can be incredibly flattering on warm and olive skin tones. It gives off a very 90s yet like modern grunge aesthetic

About the scent, I feel like it’s strong only if you take it close enough to your nostril to smell it. It’s not that overpowering I’d say. You could only smell it like subtly when you apply it on your top lip. It is almost like a waxy scent mixed with like a powdery floral scent.

If the smell of old-school makeup gives you a headache or makes you feel nauseous, skip this.

The scent is strongest in the tube and during the first few minutes of wear. Once it sets on your lips and the volatile fragrance notes evaporate, the smell becomes very faint.

The lasting? I’d say is impressive, I can go for a few hours before reapplying but like if you eat or drink, it is likely to fade but not as much. This particular shade leaves a lil bit of tint to your lips, not like something too much just enough like a stain

It’s highly affordable and I’d say pretty decent for this price
