Zoush BB Cream Review
Reddit is being an absolute pain, not letting me post the picture. Sharing it in comments.
Here's the written review after trying to post 05 freaking times!
Before boycott, my usual foundation was either Armani Luminous Silk or MAC. I shifted to Huda Beauty after boycott, and it's amazing.
For daily wear none of these options are affordable for me, as they are expensive. Huda Beauty Easy Blur costs a minimum of 14k. So while I love it, I can't use it as a daily wear foundation. I used to use Maybelline and mix it with moisturiser as my daily wear. But Maybelline is also in the boycott list.
So that's where Zoush BB Cream comes in.
I ordered it a few weeks ago after reading rave reviews and seeing some insta posts. Didn't have high hopes but very pleasantly surprised.
My most pressing concern was shade match, they have 4 shades only. I got the darkest, and while it might be very slightly darker on me, it is perfect enough to give the skin finish, and blends well with my neck, to the extent that I don't even have to apply anything on my neck, like at all!
For context my shades are as follows;
MAC - NC30
HB Easy Blur - Latte 300N
Don't remember by Maybelline Fit Me shade, either it was 125 or 128.
For Armani, the shade isn't applicable as I have tanned considerably since I used to wear Armani.
Next concern was blendability....if it sits on top of the skin, or actually blends and give the my skin but better look that a BB Cream should give. And as it can be seen in the pictures, it definitely blends well!
I didn't use any concealer under it today to be able to show the coverage in the pictures. I prefer sheer coverage so applied minimal amount and blended it in with a beauty blender. The amount seen in the picture is what I use for half my face. Sometimes add a bit more if the sponge drinks up too much of the product.
Another concern of mine was if it oxidises and becomes orange....happy to report that it doesn't oxidise at all!
I have combination skin.
Shade match - 9/10 (for me)
Shade range - 2/10 (anyone darker than me might not get a good shade match)
Consistency - light
Blendability - blends really well
Coverage - sheer to medium (buildable)
Value for money - 10/10
Overall highly recommended!
No filters or edits on the pictures. First three pictures have been taken in indirect sunlight (I just stood next to the window). The last two are with a regular white fluorescent room light.
I set my makeup with a setting powder, currently using SheGlam setting powder in the shade Translucent for daily use, and Huda Beauty Easy Bake in the shade Pound Cake for formal meetups etc.
I don't use any setting spray for daily use.
If anyone has recommendations for Pakistani setting powders and sprays, that will be awesome!
