Athletes tracking performance metrics with sessions, what improvements have you measured?

I compete in triathlons at a semi professional level. My coach suggested adding hyperbaric sessions specifically for recovery between training blocks.

I track all my training metrics systematically. Power output, heart rate recovery, lactate threshold, VO2 max. Curious what measurable improvements other athletes have seen in their sport specific data.

For athletes who have used this for performance, what changes showed up in your metrics? Recovery time, power numbers, endurance markers?

Also curious about timing. Do you do sessions during heavy training blocks, during taper, during off season, or year round?

Any experiences from competitive athletes would be helpful. Looking forward to trying this and tracking the results systematically.

First session tomorrow and feeling ready after all the research

My first appointment is tomorrow morning for diabetic neuropathy. Spent months researching and talking to my doctor. Feeling prepared and optimistic.

Main thing I am curious about is what to expect during the actual session. I know the technical process but wondering about the experience itself. Is it relaxing? Do most people rest or stay active mentally?

Also planning to track my symptoms systematically from day one. Going to note pain levels, sensation changes, and sleep quality daily so I can see patterns over time.

Any tips for first timers to make the most of the experience?

Oxygen Concentrator Purchase in the US

Hey folks,

Help me out. I'm trying buy an oxygen concentrator for my mum overseas (paying out of pocket).

I'm a US citizen. I was just told that the FDA monitors companies selling medical devices and that they're only allowed to sell oxygen concentrators if the prescription is written by a doctor in the US.

Is that correct?

Creating a systematic tracking system before starting, what metrics matter most?

I have a background in biology and like to approach health decisions methodically. Starting sessions next month for wound healing and want to set up good tracking from day one. Planning to document wound measurements, pain levels, and healing progress with photos. Also tracking sleep quality, energy levels, and overall function to see if there are additional benefits beyond the primary goal. For people who track their progress systematically, what measurements have been most useful? What do you wish you had tracked from the beginning that you did not think of initially? Also curious about optimal timing for measurements. Daily tracking, weekly, bi weekly? Trying to find the balance between enough data points and not making it overwhelming. Planning to give this a solid 12 week trial with consistent sessions and detailed tracking. Looking forward to starting this journey with a solid measurement framework in place.

On BP medication taken in morning. Sessions are scheduled for 8am. Should I take meds before going or wait until after? Clinic did not specify.

Compiling questions before starting for migraines, what should I ask my provider?

Doctor suggested hyperbaric therapy as an option for my chronic migraines. I have an initial consultation scheduled and want to come prepared with good questions.
I have been reading research on the mechanisms. Some research shows significant reduction in migraine frequency and intensity. I am optimistic about trying this as part of my migraine management plan.
