I tried my best to actually make them look like a hearthian but in a way that the animations of the game would still work on them bcs I didn't want to have it looking cursed when they talk or blink
The title says it already lol XD
Reminded me especially of their >!step by step guide for chilling!<
Big sad. I thought that “>!I am unsure how to be me without you.!<“ was heartbreaking. But damn, following >!the trail of lights from the escape pod to the graveyard!< .. Seeing their >!remains!< floating.. the music.. the last remnants of hope disappearing with the realization of their fate in the recording.
Big sad.
I love how elegant (is that the right word?) the story of >!their arrival to the solar system!< is told in this game.
Is there something I am missing or do I simply just have to jump around him?
For me, it was on Ash Twin when trying to access the Sun Station from the Sun Tower. Every single time, I just tried to pass the cactus with my jetpack. Dying several times and never realizing I could just come at the moment where I can peacefully walk on the sand to go through the hallway.

Outer wild's solutions always feel so brilliant with how they are crafted. They always seem easier than it supposed to be, using pure common sense. Sometimes in puzzle games, you just have to trust that the developer didn't torture you with an obscure or a tedious solution.
I think these aha moments is what these solutions are trying to instill, and honestly I should've placed more trust on the developers to their solutions. (I had to find help :( ).
I think more people should appreciate how hard it is to craft a beautiful solution to a puzzle, I think that many of us share the same sentiment that these puzzles are truely crafted with passion. Outer wilds plays with your fears, and tries to challenge your perception of reality. And it only rewards you with exploration and wonder.
As an aspiring game developer, one day I would love to create something on par to outer wilds. ♥️
I played Outer Wilds for the first time a few months after my daughter's death, and this translation has stuck with me profoundly through the years that have passed since. I replay the full game yearly due to the connection I have with it, and as such for my first tattoo I'd love to get the Nomai script for the section on my arm.
I can't for the life of me find a good example for the tattoo artist of the script, and it's hard to get the detail required from screenshots in-game, I don't suppose anyone has ever stumbled across a descent line-art/high contrast version?
i found a PURPLE thing moving around, at first i thought it was just a star but then i noticed it WAS moving and purple means something cool in this game (most alien things are purple iirc) i keep seeing that symbol everywhere, i think its the eye of the universe? if so what do i do with its
what i’ve seen so far (if youre to lazy to read the rumors)
never been on dark bramble except twice
the ash twin project
the core of the giants deep
interloper frozen shuttle (idk what to do with it tho)
the sun station
quantum moon
So I'm decently far into the game and have gotten all the info I need to get into the core of Giants Deep (I think). However, the counter clockwise tornado I'm supposed to go into just won't suck me in? It's like there's an invisible wall around it, and when I brute force my way in I literally just see the empty tornado model from the inside, but it still won't take me anywhere, just pushes me back out.
The thing is, I DID manage to go into it ONCE when it worked properly and pushed me down in a previous time loop, but that was before I knew what to do there, so I wasted the opportunity and it hasn't worked right since - no matter how many times I restart the loop, the game or my PC. Am I missing something or did I bug out so badly I'll have to reinstall? :(
EDIT: Guys I'm not talking about the giant one 😭 I'm at one of the little ones, I know it's the right one, it just doesn't work
EDIT#2: Yep, bug confirmed according to you guys! None of the suggestions in comments are working either so I guess I'll try reinstalling :( Thank you everybody for your help!
First time I went there I just popped into the center and floated around for the entire cycle. Top ten moments in the game so far. Now every time I go back into there I get noticed frame one and eaten. I think I wasn’t in my ship my first time I think. I forget how I lost it, so I was like mosel tov and went in. I didn’t even realise they were even in there. Is there any tips on how to explore in there without being destroyed?
I found parts of dark bramble on a couple other planets which is interesting. I feel like there’s something important in there I just don’t know how to start. I’m getting a bit discouraged with my attempts.
Like I still actively think about it, no other game till date has replaced it's place in my heart, some came close, too close, yet somehow I still think about it, I still cry whenever I hear it's music, I want more outer wilds
I just finished Outerwilds and its DLC 5 hours ago...
I don't have to explain anything, and I yearn to play a game like that again. I feel like was on fentanyl and I am having major withdraws after playing the same game for 3 whole weeks.
I don't know what to play anymore, everything I play feels like slop in comparison...
Please recommend a new game to me if you can.
I’ve been going through some hard times this year and haven’t been able to enjoy games as much as I used to. Everything felt empty. I finally decided to start Outer Wilds, since it’s been sitting on my wish list for five years now, and from my first flight into orbit to the very end, I was completely hypnotized. I played it religiously for a week and just WOW this is truly what i consider to be a modern masterpiece.
I want to go over the few points that make this game phenomenal for me.
1/ EXPLORATION: This is the best exploration I’ve seen in a video game, hands down. To me, great exploration was always associated with RPGs with rich worlds and meaningful content like Fallout: New Vegas, Baldur’s Gate 2, Souls games, or Zelda. I would have never thought you could have this level of exploration with no RPG elements, no combat system, and no rewards, not even traditional puzzles. Outer Wilds is not really a puzzle game. You just explore for the sake of exploring, and nothing else.
Another crazy aspect is how 100% non-linear the exploration is. I think everyone is going to have a different experience depending on the order in which they explore the planets. For example, the first planet I explored was the Hourglass Twins, and I’m sure my experience would have been different if I had started somewhere else because this planet gave me a lot of context straight at the beginning.
2/ THE WORLD AND STORY: Both are utterly fascinating and easy to follow. A lot of games like this tend to be hard to follow. In Outer Wilds, you don’t really need to watch a YouTube video to understand what’s going on. Everything makes sense eventually. Everything is intertwined, so depending on the order you choose, you start forming your own theories and its just so fun. The story is just beautiful. I cried at the end.
3/ GAME DESIGN: This one is a no-brainer. The most fascinating thing about Outer Wilds is how knowledge-based it is. I could now finish this 30-hour game in 20 minutes if I wanted to, because I know what to do. That’s a stellar achievement in game design. I don’t believe this has been done at this level before. The game is so full of content it’s ridiculous. A lot of the time, it felt eerie realizing that the answer had been in front of me the whole time.
4/ LACK OF INTERNET USE AND NO BS: This is a special one for me. I didn’t have to use the internet a single time to solve any of the game’s mysteries. I honestly hate it when I have to look things up to progress in a game. Outer Wilds always rewarded my experimentation. Everything clicked. Nothing felt unfair. The ship log was also a brilliant idea. The game has a lot of information, so instead of alt-tabbing and writing everything in a notepad, you can just focus on playing.
5/ PRODUCTION VALUE: Despite being a Unity game, Outer Wilds feels more polished than most AAA productions. They really pushed the engine to the next level. The cartoonish art style is gorgeous, the real-time physics simulation is mind-blowing, and both the spaceship and jetpack feel amazing to use. The game also has an excellent UI and a beautiful OST and sound design. I can’t count the number of times I just sat in awe of what was on my screen.
6/ GAME LENGTH AND CONTENT: Outer Wilds is huge. It took me 33 hours to complete everything. I explored all the planets also done a lot of wandering lol, and each one felt just as dense as the others. One of the game’s biggest achievements is its length. Most experiences like this, which rely heavily on design, tend to be shorter, like Obra Dinn, Portal, talos and we could go on, usually under 10 hours. Outer Wilds is, I believe, the only game that manages to sustain this kind of experience for so long.
