Ola S1 pro gen 1 in service center for 3 months

I bought Ola S1 pro gen 1 in 2023 and it worked fine until Jan this year, when it started to randomly turn off in middle of the road at 20-30% battery.
I visited the service center and they said its a problem in the BMS and it will be replaced. I can take around 2 to 3 months. I said okay and left the vehicle there. Since then, nothing has changed, the scooter is standing there like in a junkyard for more than 3 months, and not a single effort from OLA.

I just wanted to know if there is any way to sell it or sell the parts etc. or any way I can get it repaired as soon as possible.

I am parking it under a shade and using an evaporative air cooler.

PS. Don’t take everything on the Internet seriously.

I'm in a love and hate relationship with My 1 and a half year old Ola s1 air.

Don't get me wrong, it serves me well. But why am I not getting updates, and why does the body shake up so much😭😭

On top of that, the build is sooo weak, the panels easily get shaken up, the condition right now is so bad omg, I will have to claim an insurance on this scooter since its damaged everywhere by minor accidents/hits. any tips on how to get the loose/broken from inside parts claimed, since they aren't damaged from the surface but have broken nuts etc.

Here's the Ola S1 PRO PLUS 4KWH Gen 3 for those people who say that gen 3 is better than gen 1 and gen 2. Cause the whole production line is a shit products to buy. I took the Gen 3 to the service centre and they told me that the BMS has gone (note :- this BMS will be the third BMS I have replaced) and need a replacement and it will take 2 to 4 months to arrive easily. (Again Note :- Its BMS has been replaced twice, the mighty MCU has been replaced, the whole scooter wires have been changed, the display also contains the VCU so that it is gone so the display also has been changed that's it.

.

For those who don't know

BMS :- Battery Management System

MCU :- Motor Control Unit

VCU :- Vehicle Control Unit

.

What is remaining to be replaced :-😁

Chassis

Body Panel

Battery

Tyre

I've reserved an Ola Shakti in 2025 October and made a full payment this year January. They said that deliveries have already begun and I haven't received any communication from them regarding it. When I check on the order page it says it's "Processing insurance KYC". Anyone else who has the same issue or have got their Shakti delivery?

Hello everyone,

I own an Ola S1 X+ Gen 1, 3 kWh model, and I wanted to share my situation and get some suggestions from the community.

For the last few months, I have been facing a battery-related issue. The scooter normally charges to around 50%, but after that, it suddenly jumps to 100% within 10 minutes or so. Because of this, I was not confident about the actual battery percentage or the real range.

I recently sent it to the service center, and after checking, they informed me that almost half of the battery pack is damaged/fried, and the BMS also has an issue.

Now I am confused about what to do next. I am considering two options:

  1. Sell the scooter as it is, in case anyone is interested in buying it and repairing it.
  2. Go for Ola’s exchange program and upgrade to the same variant in Gen 3.

Has anyone faced a similar issue with the Ola S1 X+ Gen 1?
Also, would it make more sense to repair and keep it, sell it, or exchange it for the Gen 3 model?

Any honest suggestions or experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance! 🙏

I recently came across this podcast on the Gareeb Scientist YouTube channel where he interviews top executives from Ola Electric about their cell development. The discussion dives pretty deep into the kind of complex engineering and R&D they’re actually doing, and they seem quite serious about building things in India.

Given all the negative news around the company lately, it was honestly a bit refreshing to see that they’re at least putting in genuine effort on the tech side.

Bought an Ola S1X+ 2 years ago and honestly, at this point I deserve an honorary technician certificate from Ola. After 20+ service center visits due to faults in my scooter, I can now fix basic issues myself because apparently that’s part of the ownership experience.

But the real masterpiece was the battery. Around 3 months ago, my scooter’s range dropped to under 10 km. Ola said, “Cells aren’t balanced, software update will fix it.” After 5 service center visits and zero updates, the solution magically became: “Leave your scooter for 2 months for battery replacement.”

Fast forward after 3 months of dropping my scooter in the junk yard. no scooter, no battery, no updates, no calls answered. I’ve visited the center 3 more times, but their system proudly says “in progress” and battery is in Bangalore.

So basically, I didn’t buy a scooter. I subscribed to a long-term patience test with occasional burning my petrol to visit their service center and ofc from the last 3 months I am taking local bus to reach my office.

Can anyone now advise me what to do in this case ?
