Placement are legit aur fake coz is too good to be true. And after all that, kya mujhe acha location prefer krna chahiye with less placement and more restriction like bhopal or not. Please do reply.
Badminton environment
Probably I will join NIT JSR (ECE) this year
I have some doubts regarding badminton facilities
- total indoor courts?
- active badminton club?
- indoor badminton courts timings (like they are open 24 × 7 or they have fixed timings like 6 A.M. to 9/10P.M)
- are 1st year students eligible for inter nits or inter hostel/branch
And if anyone can give any advice on the badminton environment please give

I get a lot of DMs from students (especially 2nd/3rd semester) asking for work opportunities, internships, and guidance. But honestly, many of them haven’t worked on real-world problem-solving projects yet — which is what companies actually look for.
I have some connections with HRs and startups, and in the coming time, I’ll also need to hire a few people for startup roles. So I was thinking — why not create something meaningful for the JSR community?
The idea is to host a hackathon where students can:
• Work on real-world problems
• Build actual projects
• Learn how to think beyond theory
I’m currently working on a startup in its early stage, and I’ll also be participating in the hackathon myself — building alongside everyone and learning in the process.
Top performers could:
• Get internship/job referral opportunities

I’m confused between:
NIT JSR Mechanical
NIT JSR Metallurgy
BIT Mesra CSE
I wanted to understand whether taking Mechanical/Metallurgy at NIT JSR would be a better long-term option compared to CSE at BIT Mesra.
Some doubts I had specifically regarding NIT JSR:
How are placements in Mechanical and Metallurgy currently?(2026 batch)
Is it realistically possible for Mech/Meta students to move into tech/data/software roles later?
How many companies allow non-CS branches for tech placements/internships?(Any product based too?)
How is the peer group and overall college environment?
Would you personally prefer NIT JSR Mech/Meta over BIT Mesra CSE if you had these options today?

Seriously, what the hell is going on in the placement cell?
Latest I heard that Nielsen company came for campus hiring, and out of 11 selected candidates, 7 were internship coordinators (ICs). How is this even possible?
Bhai dhandli karo, lekin itni bhi mat karo ki sab kuch itna saaf saaf dikhe. 7 ICs, ek IC ka boyfriend aur ek IC ka dost — bas 2 hi genuine candidates dikhe mujhe. Yeh kya chal raha hai?
Agar aise hi karna hai toh kyun jhooti umeed dete ho bachon ko placement ki? Khud hi kar lo aapas mein TAP cell.
Very disturbing to see that those who are actually working hard are not getting internships, aur saare ICs hi interns le ja rahe hain.
Aur yeh company PIE branch ka POC tha, phir bhi Civil branch ke IC ko de diya handle karne ke liye. Matlab kuch bhi chal raha hai.
Hum log yahan chutiye hain kya college mein? Aur pata nahi baaki bachche kya kar rahe hain — itne mein toh hungama ho jaana chahiye tha.
