update from my last post!!
the comments in my last post were deactivated, so i'm updating here about the shaggy ink cap mushrooms!!
they were unfortunately torn out, and it's a shame bc i wanted to take them home to plant them and make some ink :( you can see the torn out mushrooms on the left on the sixth slide.
i took some photos of the spilling of the "ink" and the remaining mushroom on the side!!
ps: there's photos of the car on the two last slides for those who wanted it!! 🫶

Got lost in Taipei but found cool mushrooms
My friend and I were hiking to the Yinhe cave and waterfall located near the Wenshun district in Taipei and got pretty sidetracked on the way there. It was raining out and there were so many old logs on the ground - these are just two of the mushrooms I saw! I’m not sure about the first mushroom but the second one seems similar to wood ear mushroom? I just love spotting mushrooms on hikes!
Found it in my yard, really pretty tho.
Someone can tell me something about them.

Just some cool fungi found last week after a bit of rain including a great picture of heartwood rot from a freshly cut tree.
Niche question for research purposes…but, can a fungal body/mushroom have an effect on its neighbouring plant life? And if so, what kind of effect?
reddit.comShould I take it home?
The shroom is hard... like bark or soft wood. The mycelium holds those rocks around it.
We covered a patch on dead grass with artificial grass about a year ago... and those shrooms pop out since.
This mushroom dried about a month ago (dry climate). I like the look and earthy aroma and consider taking it into our house as decoration. Are there any risks in doing so?(spore contamination/ health impact/ other)
Thanks

Found in an urban backyard, near some stumps that were probably brought there
Pearl Oyster Mushrooms
My first time growing mushrooms and am making good progress. They got really big after I set them outside and it rained. What I want to know is when should I harvest them?
