Chair Lube or Wax

I am sure this has been talked about before, but I wanted some fresh insight. Had this discussion last night about the benefits of using wax over lube and WD40 over it all. The WD40 argument is ridiculous but I was curious about chain wax. Does anyone use it and swear by it?

Rust on luggage rack

Hey, have been trying to track down a luggage rack that fits my 83 nighthawk. I finally found one, but it's rusted pretty bad?

I've used steel wool and simichrome to remove most of the easy stuff, and have gotten down to this. Looks pretty pitted right?

Is this piece trash? Or would you use it as? Feels strong enough. Is there any hope of removing more of it and preventing more from occurring?

Suzuki fork service trouble

2005 GSXR 750. Got the forks off, trying to take the top nut off. I’ve followed the proper procedure but the top gold nut just won’t come off. I’ve soaked it in penetrating fluid and put a heat gun to it and it just won’t break loose. If I keep going at it, I feel like I’ll eventually round the nut off and then I’d be even more screwed. I’m at my wits and honestly not sure what the hell I am missing here. Very tempted to take it to a shop but I’ve already got so much money into this that I really don’t want to spend another $400 to make it someone else’s problem.

Any help is appreciated at this point.

Bonneville T100 oil sump removal

I have a 2006 bonneville t100 and I’m trying to remove a cracked oil sump. I removed all of the bolts and the oil filter and the sump is freed from the engine, but the frame is in the way keeping me from getting the sump out. There doesn’t seem to be enough clearance between the engine and the frame.

Has anyone else struggled with this? At this point I’m driving myself crazy wiggling, turning and tilting the sump in vain.

Ninja 400 crank no start HELP!

Okay, I bought a 2018 ninja 400 abs for 200 bucks. The original owner attempted a valve adjustment and timed it wrong bending valves. Didn't want to mess with it, needed it gone. Considering it has a yoshi alpha full exhaust on it, I couldn't pass it up. I bought a new head, head gasket, head bolts, I got a repair manual from Kawasaki. Had my work verified by master tech as far as timing. Replaced plugs as well. Went to try to fire her up, cranks, won't fire up. I've verified I have fuel from the pump, to the rail, the injectors aren't clogged, everything is plugged in other than the headlight assembly, I also replaced the battery as well( oem has a bad cell). The bike was delivered on it's side so I also made sure the tip over sensor was properly oriented and reset. I work at a car shop. I was told I'm not getting injector pulse. Bike has 15 k on it. We don't have access to motorcycle obd scanner. From what I gather injectors pulse goes off crank sensor. The stator was within spec. ,(from what I'm told). I have a replacement just in case. Anyone out there have any pointers?
