This is an instrumental that I just finished featuring the Moog Subsequent 37, Oberheim TEO-5, and the Groove Synthesis 3rd. I got the Sub37 a couple of weeks ago, and so far I am really liking it. As you can hear on this track it has fat bass lines, and sizzling leads. What else would you expect from a Moog? Hope you enjoy it.

Moog Labyrinth in Prophecy At 1420 MHz?

I listened to the song today and couldn't help but think one of the instruments sounded strikingly like the Moog Labyrinth. I think it comes in at 2:06, but starting at 2:30 is what really caught me. Thoughts?

Edit for crosspost: Song in question is "Prophecy At 1420 MHz" by Boards of Canada

I’m primarily a bassist, but I occasionally play synth bass with my band and I play a lot of keys when making and performing electronic music. I’ve always been something of a pedal junky, and this has been even more useful for synths and drum machines than my basses. I’ve had a Grandmother for a few years, which I absolutely love, but I wanted something with recall and a few more features. The Sub37 checked all of the boxes and sounds absolutely massive! It sounds amazing on its own, but through a fuzz pedal, an outboard state variable filter, a (Moog) phaser, a couple of delays, reverb, a rotary emulator, or whatever I have around is like having inspiration on tap. I feel like my OCD and propensity for spending considerably more money than I can responsibly afford has somehow rewarded me. I’m a little frightened by how much I’ve been wanting a Muse, but buying one would be irresponsible in a way that would require therapy. Well, more therapy…

Rest is Ableton samples routine, meaning LFOs automation, panning, percussion, sample cut..

I recently ordered a Moog One 16 voice and was thinking about getting a mini Moog model D, but wanted to check that that wouldn’t be redundant.

I can’t say I have a specific use in mind, but like the idea of having a Poly and monosynth. I enjoy playing leads, jazz chords, fat basses, and enjoy making interesting atmospheric sounds. I like dance music, rock, and lofi. But again, I have always been interested in Moogs I don’t know exactly what capacity I would want to explore with them.

Thanks in advance!

Hi
How do you guys carry your Moog Sub37 around? My arms are so sore of carrying around the MOOG in its wood hard case… anything on wheels?

I was curious if Claude can create a patch for me
I believe you can ask for dialing in any sound on any moog synth
The completely free version did it in 10 seconds
I'm lost for words
This is simply amazing

I found this guy on YouTube... he’s a true moog jammer and really knows his stuff. Thought I’d share… way too few subscribers and views overall for his skills! Show him some love, guys! Have a great weekend, y’all! 🤘🏻

If you were totally new to synths & looking to buy something to play those classic late 60s/early 70s staples what would you get if you're not going to get a Model D?

Grandmother, Messenger, Subsequent 37, Mother-32, Minitaur?
